Orienteering race 1:31:00 [3]

started off alright except for twisting my ankle which slowed me down a bit fr a couple of controls, then had a big 7 or 8 min mistake on 10 in the maze, from here on i got a blister on my heal. then had a really stupid amateur mistake on 19 on probaly the easiest control so lost another few mins there, got a bit distracted going up to 21 by a nice bike track, so maybe lost another min or so, then technically was all good to the finish except the blister on my heal got nice and big, and hampered my running especially up hills, so i think i lost a bit of time with that. When i finished i still felt quite fresh, cause i wasn't really able to go that fast cause of the blister, so that was a little dissapointing. I'm quite happy about my orienteering though, bar no.10 and 19, I was fairly on to it and was getting quite use to the compass, and it even helped me out in a couple of places

finn called me up for a easy run, which was good cause i probaly wouldn't of done much otherwise. went to his house, mt vic, then along calliope to the naval sports fields then back to finns, then home. was a fairly casual pace, and i felt quite comfortable.

good longish run (for me). to finns, then ran with him to narrowneck, cheltenham, north head, waterfront, mt vic. we pushed it quite hard up the hills. then I went along calliope to the naval sports fields and home from there to get an extra 20 mins or so. Felt quite good for the majority of the run a wee bit flat towards the end, but good up the hills. Tried wearing some other shoes which had a bit more support and that minimized the foot pain I was having in my last couple of runs, so might stick with these shoes for my runs around devo.

narrow neck, fort taka, north head, mt vic. Felt a bit average physically, not really full power in the legs and a bit breathless, but rode quite well technically. few to many oldies out on the tracks at this time of day.

usual loop plus a fair way down calliope. felt alright, ankle that i hurt yesterday was a little stiff but not too bad. bottom of feet got tight 20 min in, which seems to be a recurring problem so i will get that looked into. otherwise all ok

6 x 3 min on the boxing bag, with press ups and sit ups in between, good fun.

Biking 47:00 [3]

xc ride. up the cycle way, then kept on going through taka and round the gravel path that comes back out at esmonde/barrys pt. then back along the cycle way. then did the little track above the golf course, and had a huge crash! Was going quite fast and back wheel got caught up on some wooden skirting and swung my backend out, then I think i sort of high sided over the bike, but not really sure, ended up with only a few grazes and a bit of a twisted ankle, which was a bit supprising as when i was crashing i thought i was going to get smashed. Was planning on doing north head and mt vic, but just rode home and chucked some ice on the ankle.

finished the ride i started earlier, but this time on the charge, good play around on north head and then mt vic. felt very fast technically and was riding really loose. then went down to the naval sports fields, and home. good ride, nice conditions, kind of slippery, but no actual mud
