Orienteering race 1:12:35 [4] 10.1 km (7:11 / km)

oy 4 at woodhill. Very scrappy start, was slightly off on 2 and 3 losing 30 secs on each then lost a min being silly on 4, Then going to 5 twisted my ankle badly and had to walk for a bit, then hobbled the next few so probaly lost about 2 mins because of that, all good for the next lot, lost a min on 21, with a bad route choice and coming in a bit high, then on 25 I sort off new where the control was but just didn't see it so stood around getting confused, lost another min. So probs made about 5 min in mistakes and lost another 2 or so cause of my twisted ankle. Had a good time out there though and really enjoyed the course.

downhill. First dh in a few months, good to get back on the big bike, did about 7 or 8 runs, in some slightly muddy/ wet conditions at Maraetai.

ride out at woodpoo thismorning in the rain. Covered most of the place. average conditions, sand was very sticky and slow rolling, felt like there was alot of resistance the whole time, and was quite hard work because of this, especially standing up most of the time on the charge. Anyhow good to do something on a day like today

usual ride, nothing too special, this nice weathers bringing to many people onto the mountains though, so i'm not playing around asd much as i usually would.

usual loop in reverse, felt quite fit, but my lower legs were a wee bit tired and tight, so had to stop for two quick stretches. a little bit unmotivated too, average run.

road ride, from home, taka, wairau rd, upper harbour drive, whenuapai, riverhead, ridge road, albany, east coast rd, milford, taka, home.
First sort of solid road ride i've ever done, went quite well really, felt reasonably fit the whole way and never needed to drop into my small chainring at the front. 75 min to riverhead then had a 5/10 min rest/coke in riverhead, 79 min to home. Followed up by a mean bacon and eggs.

usual devo ride on the charge, rode narrowneck djs for first time in a while were running quite well. didn't hang around on the mountains too much due too about a million tourists. Mt Vic track was in sublime condition, packed down lots, super fast but still a bit slippy and loose in the corners.

Strength and conditioning 40:00 [3]

6 x 3 min boxing bag, with press ups and sit ups in between, then 1o min or so core afterwards

run down to naval sports fields, around, then back up calliope.
