Orienteering race 1:52:00 [3] 15.5 km (7:14 / km) +260m 6:40 / km

long race, legs were quite tired from the start. crappy route choice to 6, way offline at the start. wasted probs 3 mins plus on 7 when i went down the wrong little re entrant. slow into 8. wasted another min on 17, was abit to left. started to get some mean blisters from here on in. legs had had enough at this stage and i was really slow through the next couple of legs. lost a little bit of time on 24 just figuring out what was going on. slow as to 25, went offline and got confused by a ridge, too tired to think straight. slow to 26, lost probs 2 mins on 27, just struggling to match up hills. made a mess of 30, mapping was average there, but in saying that i was all over the show, just running to any odd hill, wasted another min or 2. finish? bit of a mission, definately lost a bit of time due to my blisters on the last third of the course and just from not thinking straight on the last loop. anyhow, i can kind of see how people could do the sub 90 min times they did

Orienteering race 22:40 [4] 3.9 km (5:49 / km) +90m 5:13 / km

morning race, lost over a min on one, sort of started off slightly in the wrong direction then overshot it, then darren passed me at 3, and i basically just followed him for the rest of the race, as he was pretty flawless.
2 PM

Orienteering race 23:14 [5] 4.3 km (5:24 / km) +115m 4:46 / km

afternoon race: chasing start, was just in front of all the fast guys, just kept it steady off the start and made sure not to make any mistakes, first bunch caught me at 3, then everybody stuffed up 4 a bit, then i joined a few others for the rest of the course, kept in contact the whole time but was basically just hanging on the back end of this first bunch until the end. quite happy that i managed to pretty much keep up with the pace.
