Orienteering race 1:27:00 [2]

first time forest orienteering in along time was a bit of a shock, pretty shocking through the first half of the course, was really hot and and legs were quite tired from the get go. from aabout halfway onwards, my socks filled with sand, started rubbing against my heel, so stopped and tryed to fix that a couple of times, but ended up walking alot of the rest of the course to minimise blisters. So yeah was a terrible run really, but my orienteering got a bit better towards the end, so thats something.

rimmers road through to the mtb carpark, on singletrack, rode quite fast and had a good little time on the xc bike.

summmer series pamnure basin, not alot of map reading involved but, a good excuse for a decent paced run. In saying that, I wasn't really running that fast and felt kind of heavy on my feet, I guess riding right before hand doesn't help.

bike back to ferry and home, went flat out to catch the ferry, was like a full on time trial. Felt really quick and was pushing quite big gears, made it in time.

first run in a very long time... went suprisingly ok, felt a bit unfit on the hills, and legs felt a bit heavy, but was actually going a fairly reasonable pace, just did my usual sort of devo loop, plus mt cambria at end. Got a bit of work to do though to get back to the level i was at at the start of december.

Back home , haven't really done alot of good quality exercise in the last two and a half months down in cromwell, so a bit unfit really. Did a bit of biking but nothing too intense, and literally only a couple of runs, was just too tired after work and it was also quite hot down there.
