Orienteering race (roagaine) 1:25:00 [4] shoes: x talon 212
2nd of the roagaine series. Decided not to get the two far controls on the first map, in order to make sure I got all the others in time. seemed to work pretty well as I was in with plenty of time, but wouldn't of been able to get the very far one with the time I had left over. I thought my route was pretty solid if not a bit predictable. made a couple of errors in route choice, trying to avoid some green, but would of been better off going through it, lost probs 2 mins on one leg. legs were pretty tight for about the first 45 mins, and I didn't feel to fit, but I guess thats partly down to the terrain. Ended up doing quite well in the results (2nd overall !), which is nice and probably didn't have to push as hard as all the others who went out to the far controls.
pretty cruisy run, up to bayswater round green route, through bmont, narrowneck, cheltenham, round bottom of north head, torpedo bay, mt vic lower track then home. Achillies and calfs were quite tight so stopped a couple of times to stretch, got better at the end though, never really pushed too hard
Running race 16:57 [5] 5.0 km (3:23 / km) shoes: Addidas Adizero Adios
o hagens 5 k race, felt alright till the turnaround the felt pretty shit on way home, especially into the strongish headwind, anyhow stoked to break into the 16s
first ride on the charge in over a month now that its fixed. usual sort of devo loop with a good play aroundf on the hills. has new tires on it which meant heaps of grip, although it was quite a bit more resistance. good fun ride
