Orienteering race 36:58 [5]
shoes: x talon 212

nats middle:
got a bit caught out off the start as our first leg was a sharp turn off from the direction we were going, then got cught out by some other rocks, lost a min there. terrible route choice to 5, lost 2 mins there. all ok through to 10, where I was way to high and though it was on some other rocks, had to backtrack quite alot, lost 1.30 there. big hill over to 12, and pretty clean through to the finish. 5 mins lost in mistakes and I guess the other 4 mins is basically fitness.

Orienteering race (sprint) 16:58 [5]
shoes: x talon 212

nats sprint:
went pretty well really. a few small mistakes.... didn't reall understand the differnet levels going to 2, but just kind of ran in the right direction, lost 20 secs, bad route to 3, a little slow though the bush, slightly off on 14, bad route to 18, but the rest was good. Duncan caught me up at 15, which i guess gave me a little bit more pace at the end. ended up 6th, and a 1.26 down and got 3 fastest splits!, so quite happy with that one.

Orienteering race 1:55:00 [3] 8.1 km (14:12 / km)
shoes: x talon 212

first oy of the year out at Ngapuriri. made many mistakes the most major was coming out of two, and just kind of saw a feature and thought i wanted to go in that direction and didn't really think twice about it. was 90 degrees off though, kind of realised things were wrong but took me ages to relocate. probs wasted over 10 mins on that leg. quite a few bad route choices, which resulted in a fair bit of unescasary climbing. Went a pretty casual pace the whole time, and walked up all the hills, which there werea lot of. despite all the mistakes, I really enjoyed it, fun muddy conditions and a cool area. was a good little mission
