Orienteering race (long) 1:10:22 [5]
shoes: x talon 212

shortish long at QB. Start was in some quite technical low vis stuff which was quite tough, stuffed up 1 lost almost 2 mins on 1, not trusting my compass enough, and getting distracted by another hill. Tane caught me up at 2, then followed him for a couple, probably should of kept following but took a different route out of 4 and got caught in some green, and lost a min or two. Lost about 90 sec on 6, then got caught by matt. Tailed him from 8 to 16, bad route to 8 and 13. Then lead him and an aussie through to 22, bad route to 23. Then end bit was 3 of us running together. So lost about 4 mins in the tech stuff at start then only really maybe a min or two from route choice on the farmland. Ended up 12th which is alright though, nice to know I can almost keep pace on the easier stuff I suppose

Orienteering race (sprint) 13:17 [5]
shoes: x talon 212

qb wre forest sprint. Went good apart from a small mistake on 9, and being a bit slow reading the map around 13-16. Was pretty easy technically, and I was probably a bit too cautious and slow considering this. Didn't feel very hard physically as never ran that fast for long periods. Ended up in 8th only 49 seconds down, which I'm pretty happy with, as I can easily see how that time would be doable.

finally got the motivation to go for a ride at 4, after a few hours.. Quite enjoyed it in the end, standard little bayswater, hauraki, devo loop. Felt pretty good once I got going.

shoes: Addidas Adizero Adios

about a 5 min transition at home then into a run with rae. nazza, Up to tgs then green route, loop round golf course then home, so avoided any big hills. Pace was pretty casual but that was good as wanting to rest up a bit before the weekend. Calfs felt a little tired but otherwise all good.

Nice cruisy evening run, trip peaks, round the coast to nazza, then up to tgs, baswater,and green route home. Legs felt a little tired so was a pretty casual pace, but was good to get out there still, quite enjoyed it.

same kind of loop as friday, went a pretty cruisy pace but felt pretty good. Sick sunset tonight. stomach got a bit saw by north head, so just walked from there.
