Walking 22:00 [1] 2.0 km (11:00 / km)

Pretty nice out

Orienteering 1:05:00 intensity: (45:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) *** 6.4 km (10:09 / km) +115m 9:19 / km
spiked:2/15c

This one qualities as a misadventure. Pretty tired but decided to take in an outing to Stillwater (Rootbeer float at Leo's cafe) which was the highlight :-). Warm 75F so elected for a 4km "brown" course. Course was in fact orange level with controls lurking in the undergrowth. Brain never got into gear and overshot the first 3 losing maybe 10 mins, and even at a walk couldn't get into the map. Ultimate humility at the last control (15) which I couldn't find and hence a DNF - some dubious control locations and a novice course- however the rest was all my incompetence!
Dropped 23 mins on the course :-)

Musings on the mysteries of Jetlag. As a regular traveler I have evolved a particular set of habits and behaviors (but surprisingly not the use of pharmacotherapy :-) to help offset the consequences of Jetlag. Despite the discipline of adhering to those practices, every trip turns out to be different and to a degree unpredictable. Sometimes the body and brain is more than willing after a long haul flight across time zones and at other times you have to dig deep to merely function let alone perform at peak. Net net, today, I am feeling a tad jaded and sleep deprived- yet it was a sweet trip with smooth travel, time to work and time to play!

Walking 24:00 [1] 2.4 km (10:00 / km)
