Eddy and I walked all round the avenues looking for coffee and breky on memorial day. And we found it.

Exploring absolutely every nook and cranny of this trail system based in City Creek. Found the "shoulda hadda V-8" trail where Eddy and I almost slid into the creek.

BST hike with Katy and Jack. Opted out of Pocatello 50 crewing owing to reluctance to travel. Also, weather was so heinous that the race was ultimately cancelled.

Running (Treadmill) 1:10:00 [3] 8.0 mi (8:45 / mi)

DeWitt hill progressions. Increasing incline every 0.25 miles by 0.1%. WU with 9 min/mile for 0.5 miles. Then 8:20 min/mile pace until total time was 60 min. Cool for 10. Hit 6% each time before returning to 0. Somewhat of a regression from last time. Blaming the virgin islands.

Drew's house to bottom of memorial grove and on up city creek to the long ridge. Headed east to the shrine, then back up as if on the steeplechase course. Headed back down to BST at 1st chance and then looped that little ridge section. Exited via terrace hills, to 11th ave, and home. Happy dog. Hammy's ok. Not great. But, ok.

Treadmill cut-down work out.
WU - 1 mile at 1% incline and 8:50 min/mile
Increase 0.1 mph every 0.25 miles until running at 7 min/mile pace.
Back to 9 min/miles. Cut down again to 8 min/miles.
Finish with uphill walking and random right-lefting to for time shown above.
Hamstrings felt good. Generally tired all over, likely due to being in a different state every 12 hours for the past 4 days.
Heading to the British Virgin Isles this weekend for some below sea-level training, aka SCUBA.

Great run/hike around Jenny Lake in the Tetons. Quite a bit of snow on the shady northerly slopes. Other portions of the trail were awesome. Soaked my ass in cottonwood creek after the run. Low flow, but cold enough.Hammy only hurt when I had to stoop low to crawl under deadfall.

Eddy and I started on 11th avenue and went back to the City Creek U-Bend to head up on the BST. We stayed up on the high ridge until confusion junction and that's when the coyote started to trail us. She or he followed us for about 45 minutes until we met up with Drew and Whitey at the shrine. Interesting morning. Body felt good. Both hammies feel fine. Just hard to bend over when and if I drop something. Took a good fall. Off to the Tetons tomorrow....

Run to the radio towers with eddy and then back down to city creek and the car. Lovely day. Legs felt good. Body felt weak. Stupid bladder infection!

Abbreviated uphill tempo run. 15 min WU at mellow pace working down to 8:06 min/mile. Then 20 minutes at 5% incline. 10 min cool down on the flat with a mellow pace.
Hamstrings, feet, bladder all feel good. Still feel a bit under the chemical weather from all the pill popping as of late.
