Cycling (Road) 4:08:17 [3] 77.66 mi (18.8 mph) +1352ft

AC - 88rpm

I am pretty pumped right now. Just got back from a solid ride and I still feel great and have some left in the tank, and did it with some minor nutrional obstacles that would usually cause failure. Started at 645, a little chilly 48 degrees. Headed down to HB Pier, then back to Seal Beach then to parents in HB. Took of with Bro and Dad to PCH, then headed south and climbed Newport Coast. Still feeling good and the legs were definitely warmed up and going 30+miles in. Took the climb at steady pace, descended to the Back Bay and rode a tailwind back to HB but pushed the pace around 25-26mph with the wind, felt awesome! Some driver got me ticked and that rushed some adrenaline, used it to hammer. Dad and bro left me and I took off to add about 25 miles more. There was some severe flooding on PCH now with high tides, and there was sewage aand tons of water over the sidwalks and whatnot. I decided to still keep heading south and stayed out of getting in that shit. tons of cops and people standing around taking pictures.....unreal. I sped through there like a CX race, dismounting, whatever, sped through. Went around LB Pyramid and ELDO park, river trail, stopped at subway for some water, and back home. SO PUMPED!!!!!!

I feel really good just cause the legs feel good, I did a solid ride with little nutrition (1 bottle prolong, which I already know for many reasons, is for me....1/2 bottle of water w/nuun, and a half lara bar). I should have had more bot got paranoid about sewage spray on there and didnt drink for the last 20 miles until i got to subway. Plus the legs feel solid, I was motivated knowing sean and slater were charging 120+ today, and I havent had the best feeling legs all week. But some good recovery, and listening to my body, foam roller, gym, base miles, its paying off and im stoked. My pace on this ride was good, just like the morning rides.

Did 22 miles alone
Did 33 miles w/dad and bro but only sat in the draft maybe 2 miles of that
Did another 23 miles alone after.

A great ride, great way to cap off a solid base february, even better that it was partly w/ my brother and dad. Lovin it!
Now im pounding some fluid, took some extra sport multis, gonna eat well all day for sure. Watch some USA hockey, and help my sister move out of her apt. later. Then I may have a beer or two tonight....who knows!

Hope everyone (Dreamcrushers) killed their rides and races today! You guys motivate me for sure!!

Core/Weights/Prehab 45:00 [3]

Gym session early, dumping rain.

Hit the gym with my brother(in town) and Sarah

10-12 mins stretching (solid felt good)
20-25 mins chest, back, shoulders and some arms
10-12 mins core sequence (really felt it bad, building reps everytime)

Got home and busted the new Sworks tire combo onto the top fuel. NO MORE BORDERLINE CX tires, im so excited to get out and try these. Especially after my fun mtb ride yesterday. Also got the cassette degreased and totally cleaned, it was filthy when i bought it now the thing is sparkling. Gonna hit TJ's and then research some more on rings, taking chain links out, etc., before I swap out my 42/29 rings on the mtb with 39/26.

Cycling (Road) 1:15:24 [3] 24.07 mi (19.2 mph) +167ft

AC - 83rpm

First early ride of the week. 540ish start time, its getting light earlier now too...but only for a couple more weeks! Got out early cause pops hadnt hit the road all week, he was fresh and i sucked wheel basically the entire ride....legs had absolutely nothing (my cadence was lowest its ever been on the road in a while). Nice morning ride and nice to get out though before work.

Contemplating a rest afternoon and all day rest tommorow. I brought my mtb to work and want to hit aliso after work around 1....anyone in...anyone? I wanna ride with someone.

Cycling (Mountain) 1:45:06 [3] 17.0 mi (9.7 mph) +2278ft

AC - 74.8rpm

great ride with my buddy travis. We did the same route as last time I rode Aliso w/Slater. Climbed neighborhood, descended five oaks (I cleaned a tough section I never have before), climbed cholla, travis headed to TOW and I time trialed descending rockit, coyote run to climb mathis, then to TOW. Kept feeling better and better towards the top of mathis as I climbed, even though mostly in the xx granny the first half, second half started to gear up. The descent down meadows was fast and good, I had a little crash, but recovered.

Mathis Climb
1.01 miles
11:26 time
AC - 81rpm

Was happy to get in another ride today, and I felt alot better this afternoon than this morning, which I always do. I think with the amount of riding I do, or atleast everyday mostly afternoons, super early mornings are brutal to do quality stuff in a short amount of time...I dunno. Travis fixed the handlebar lockout for me on the front fork, so stoked! And was fidgeting w/seat height throughout the ride, probably too low but ill keep testing.

Cycling (Road) 1:20:56 [3] 25.3 mi (18.8 mph) +427ft

AC - 87rpm

Got out on the road after work. Legs have been feeling tired all day but needed to get out. Was windy and I may have pushed a little too hard to start, right itb got real tight and hurt a bit halfway through the ride. But got in a good ride and hit the foam roller hard. Already feeling better. But this week I have been taking real mellow, a semi recovery week, no early rides in the cold, but tommorow im hitting the road with my dad, then maybe tommorow afternoon hit up a high intensity ride hopefully on the mtb before the rain!

Core/Weights/Prehab 45:00 [3]

Good effective gym session this morning.
Legs felt so tired and no kick this morning though on the wakeup.

10 mins stretching routine, felt good
20 mins free weights (bench press, assisted dips, shrugs, low row, curls, forearm dumbell work)
15 mins core superset 3x(crunch, reaching situps, bicycles, planks/alt plank)

Cycling (CX) 1:01:14 [3] 11.76 mi (11.5 mph) +391ft

Super mellow ride with Slater around the HB trails. Wasnt planning on a ride but couldnt pass it up, never will. Walked out my apt. and it was drizzly, was like that most of the ride, but decided to take the cx out. It got real sandy and dirty, but perfect euro cx weather, everything was green, trails solid. Tackled all the stuff on my cx that ive been doing on the mtb, alot slower though.

Cycling (Mountain) 1:12:22 [3] 16.08 mi (13.3 mph) +658ft

After work ride, went out and hit local trails. Legs feel tired but still some efforts in them, and I pushed some harder charging stuff but for the most part kept it mellow.

She got pissed because I accurately told her that the wind gets more mellow as it goes south from LB to NB....Im pretty sure I know lightning velo lady....your scaring me....saved by the bell with a green light....we're out. This lady almost ate sean and me, and she will forever be known as mrs. loynes.....

Was a solid ride, put a couple good hard efforts on the legs, overall a good solid short ride after work. The clancy kills it!
