Cycling (Road) 1:22:18 [3] 24.17 mi (17.6 mph) +332ft

Got all bandaged up and donned some padded gloves on the road for my hand. Constant dull pain with weight on it but sucked it up. Tried to get a good route out of the big winds today, and it wasnt bad. Legs felt good considering the crash yesterday and tightness and road rash. Original plan before the crash was to go alot longer today but not really feeling it, and with the wind, I am happy with a 24/25miler.

Stoked to be out riding with my dad! Now home super early, 930am.....now what do I do all day? Sit on the couch, have some beers, and watch the TOC!

Really awesome day at out SJT with Allison and James. We were all taking it pretty mellow, and the climb my legs felt good, and climbing twisty fun singletrack is always awesome. Our route was SJT up to Bluejay camp, then cottontail trail back to cocktail rock back to the cars, the lollipop. I havent rode the lolli before, and only ridden SJT once prior. BIG MISTAKE, this is an awesome trails that we need to ride way more often.

What an awesome day for sure, had a great time with those two, with allison schooling us on the DH and James on the climbs. We were taking tons of photos on the descent, and I came around one corner about 2/3 down to the cars and saw allison taking a shot, I got stagefright or something, and missed the easy line to the outside, took the rock drop in front of me too slow and my weight wasnt back enough and OTB! Cut knees and arms, face in the dirt, but the worse was I hurt my hand bad, hoping its nothing major. Faceplant and my oakleys and fake teeth survived, but broke the lockout on the bars. Overall coulda been worse, lucky, and nothing some cold beers cant fix! It will help the swelling in my left hand :)

Uh oh, weight down to 169! Need to eat more I suppose. I will start with some beers now while I ice my hand and knee.

Good ride this AM. Wind directly out of the South and pretty strong. Did my HB-LB-HB loop alone today, legs felt amazing when I had a tailwind, then pushing 16-17 into the headwind, and pushing hard! L leg a little tight, will get on foam roller later watching the TOC after work, so excited for this stage!!

Core/Weights/Prehab 5:00 [3]

Foam roller after ride on the legs. Left leg real tight during the last 1/2 of ride, but feels a little looser now, will be foam rolling and stretching as much as possible with this running. I know its the running but need to keep it, so hope I can get it to improve.

Good ride this morning, legs felt good but L leg tight in the itb/ham area. Dad had two flats in the front tire this AM, broke the ride up a bit, glass. Fuckin 909ers throwing glass bottles around the beach, I could wring all those metal mulisha fanboys necks. But that is neither here nor there :)

Brought the saddle up a bit, little adjustments still dialing the bike. Felt good, but got to keep stretching a TON especially with the running sore there isnt this tightness i felt today.

A goood afternoon ride. Had to get out to test/seal in my front tire which I installed yesterday. Bolsa Chica-Central Park trails-Bolsa Chica route. Legs felt good and left leg wasnt as tight as this morning, but lacked any punch or motivation, just along for the ride, but thats a good thing gotta keep it easy still this week. Good ride, saw a snakey too.

Felt it hard today after the ride, was a good core workout. Skipping the weights today, I really just want some hoppy beer right now!

Legs felt solid, must have been the good massage last night or the solid mexican food we had for dinner. Still the "soreness" from the massage but it almost made me feel stronger, looser. Gonna keep on this stretch/foam roll/core/ and running stuff.

Gonna get a short run in later today. Then working on the bikes and sipping on some dale's.

Run 17:49 [3] 2.37 mi (7:31 / mi) +100ft 7:14 / mi

As good as doing something you hate can get. Night and day diff it feels like from last weeks horendous running opener. Legs feel alot better, you might even say I have found a tiny bit of my stride. Felt good almost. Will keep these 2x + per week shorties going for now, see how it pans out.

Stretched and walked for five mins after too.

Got out with Dad on his new bike, pretty awesome looking. Beating the rain the first half of the ride, then more drizzle, then light rain on us the last half of the ride basically. Charging it in the rain though like Jens with my glasses full of water, legs felt good and warm still throughout.

Had to bag the stretching/roller stuff cause i spent a good 15-20 mins cleaning my bike up after the ride.

Note

Woke up feeling recovered from Saturday nights festivities. Drank too much....stupid. Yesterday just recovered and did errands, worked on bikes, bbq with liz/mike last night, awesome tacos and GF imperial!

Today gonna get in a short mtb ride and run later hopefully, then work on the cx bike some. Gloomy all day and cool, hope it stays that way till the afternoon.

Throat feeling a little weird all afternoon, but I really wanted to ride. Kept a different route out of the overgrowth but hit up bolsa chica, seapoint, and horse trails/central park. Kept the pace up throughout and legs feeling pretty good. Throat not really feeling weird at the end of the ride, stoked!

Came home from the ride, ate some, and then hunkered down and did a solid little core set.

2 x (50crunch, 100 heel touches, 60 bicycle crunch, plank "till I couldnt hold it")

felt it good in the core. now its beer:thirty.
