Cycling (Road) 1:53:43 [3] 38.06 mi (20.1 mph) +350ft

Good hard ride with dad. LBstate-NB loop. Lots of really hard efforts, 90%ofmax for long sustained intervals, nothing really organized just trying to get after it hard and make my legs feel like a cross/xc race. Felt really strong the whole ride, pulling 95% of the time, just getting after some good efforts. Not making alot of lights, but still going after it throughout the whole ride. Good overall intro into some hard efforts, and feeling pretty fresh right now after, could do it all again.

Will get some more organized interval efforts going this week, but this felt good to do after yesterday I wasnt feeling very confident, might have been because a # of reasons but today brings me up a bit. Rest of the day softball practice with sarahs fam, then just relax/beers/food :)

Might get on the cross bike later for an hour...

Awesome ride with James and Allison/Justin for a bit. Headed out at Aliso, about 830am, pretty warm already. Hit up Cholla/Lynx/Cholla/Rockit twice but instead of the second rockit James and I did car-wreck. Efforts to the max, those steep climbs in heat are something I havent done in a long while, while pushing hard too.

we did cholla/lynx/rockit/mathis/meadows/coyoterun/dripping cave some 2-4x. was a good day of hot singletrack out there, been awhile.

Was finally feeling better on the new bike on descents though, feeling a bit more confident after today descending wise. Not so much climbing, felt like I dont know what speed feels like doing rides like today, all easy for gramps!

Gonna step up and do some more speed work/but interval type stuff in the next 3-4wks before cross. Gotta get that burning in the lungs and legs, gotta get ready for what ive been excited for all year....my season! fall winter cx beers football friends family fun, the best. and most of all, praying I get lucky and it cools off in a month or so, i dont think im getting that wish though.

Barely any wind this morning, up early to ride with dad. awesome sunrise. still beyond sore, but legs felt alright and we had a good tempo-ish ride.

Went afterwork on the cx bike to cruise, get some riding, and go watch sarah and slater in their photoshoot. pushing the pace a bit on the cross bike, then boom, pinch flat at seapoint. bummed, was just warming into it at this point. ready to get it more tommorow.

had to call dad for pickup, no spare bag on my cx bike, total amateur move, need to pop for another saddlebag. spent time after removing old road tubulars on zipps, cleaning them, and then mounting/stretching the new cx tubulars on the 303s. no glue yet, just stretching

Body hasnt felt this wrecked in a while. Somehow managed to get this really mellow ride in this afternoon after work. Every body part is super sore, hoping to foam roll and just let it heal. In the meantime soothing my muscles with some cold makers/diet....always does the trick :)

Body sore all over from Sarahs bday decathalon yesterday, ate crap on the kid bmx races, in the bat spins, and other stuff. bruised and scraped up and have grass burns. right arm super sore, threw my arm out good playing multiple rounds of dodgeball. so much fun though. good amount of beers and not healthy food, good to be back on the normal food/drink train this week.

Might take the day off today, have to get a new bbq cause mine is at the end of its last stretch. Gonna be another easy week but hope to maybe hit up a long mtb ride on sat or sunday.
