Cycling (Road) 1:50:14 [3] 33.73 mi (18.4 mph) +263ft

Out at 720am with Dad.

Got woke up last night by a DUI bust and other shit, 16 cops out my window "GET ON THE GROUND" as the dude tries to run, I was intrigued watching from my window from 115-130 and then sat awake till 230 listening, 16cop cars(literally), csi, k9 unit barking, nightmare, is this watts?

Legs felt ok/good better than I thought, hard to sit in saddle though, took it steady easyish pace first 20 miles, then for 5 miles from 25-30 I layed it on hard on the VeloViet crew and shattered their group, in drops 23-24mph into a foggy headwind nailing, didnt know I had that in the legs. Happy and ready to chill and watch football, good 2nd breakfast (slater style) with Sarah. Applewood bacon, eggs, and Pumpkin Ale!

Cycling (Road) 5:55:39 [3] 88.84 mi (15.0 mph) +7434ft

Kit Carson Park(Escondido) to Ramona to Santa Ysabel to Palomar(east grade) to Cole Grade and back to Kit Carson Park.
With James, Trevor, Tom, TJ, Slater, and Art.
Started out w/knee and arm warmers and was shivering and fingers NUMB!

Slater got it warmed up though and was feeling OK an hour into the ride, and was starting to feel better until the last 5mins before we stopped at dudleys, legs just felt not so good but I felt great otherwise.

2-3hrs on way to Palomar and legs not feeling strong, getting worried. Got mental on Palomar and totally sucked it up, thought we were only halfway through the climbing and just not into it at all, feeling uncomfortable on the saddle. Stupid me should have sucked in the awesome views a little more. Made everyone wait a good while im sure till I got to the top. Took in a coke at the top perked up a bit for the descent. Took the descent real mellow as ive never climbed or descended it before. Found out just one more real climb (Cole) then pretty easy 10-12 miles to park, almost got attacked by a rattlesnake on the shoulder on the beginning of cole, then spun up in granny gear and cruised back to the park.

Overall I felt good too after the ride and legs worked but thats it. Great times with some fast guys I probably really made wait a couple times, sorry, but know this ride was good for me, glad I sacked up and came down for it.

Cycling (CX) 1:14:09 [3] 17.5 mi (14.2 mph) +380ft

Forgot to turn off the "when stopped" on GPS, on from bonelli still I guess. Knew I was going faster.

Didnt get out till later because of work. rode from 530-645 and got a good sunset ride in on the cross bike. legs felt great and had to hold back a bit at times saving some for tommmorow. Glad and lucky to get out though, and after a long week at work just what I needed. Then dinner and beers at the parents house. after.

Note

Just no time, real long day at work 6-430..traffic, then errands. Not home till 6 or so, this is probably typical so Im gonna have to figure something else out. Riding to work maybe 2x a week might be perfect. We'll see.

Another busy day at work, home late and no time to ride.

Cycling (CX) 1:10:10 [3] 16.76 mi (14.3 mph) +462ft

Got out and hit the trails on the cross bike after work. Legs felt ok but still fatigued from Sundays race. Did the standard loop, with some accelerations and dismounts even though I wasnt planning on that, mostly just steady pace though and good to ride on the cross bike.

Note
slept:7.0 (rest day)

Would have liked to get out for a short ride after work but didnt have time. Went grocery shopping and then home to hang out, watch football, good beers and food.

This week will be tough getting in rides, busy workweek.
