Cycling (Road) 1:13:52 [3] 21.59 mi (17.5 mph) +250ft

Legs lacking today and body and overall not feeling well. Just weird feeling all around. Kept an easy to steady effort on a short spin with dad on a really nice morning. Started early at 730 and back home at 9.

Cant really explain why I dont feel good or legs not feeling good at all, but hoping im feeling better for this afternoons race. Its supposed to be super hot out in Chino, 94 degrees and this is my first 60min cross race. Gonna hydrate like crazy and hope the course has alot of shade :)

Cycling (CX) 30:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8.0 mph)

Warmed up and talking with some guys. Did one loop of the course and rode around with Jason on the park roads. In between talking and stuff. Super hot and sweating bigtime just 3 mins into the first lap. Bike working great and felt ok on the warm up.

Cycling (CX) 35:00 [3] 7.0 mi (12.0 mph)

dnfed with 4 laps left. dont remember alot of what happened at the end for me but it was bad. lots of thoughts right now about me and the race.

course- lots of sharp turns, pretty bumpy, some grassy sticky mud spots, unshaded and super hot 95+ degrees.

I got the call up and went out amazingly hard even though I knew i shouldnt and had planned not to...not going to go into the aftermath, im embarrassed and not sure why I did what I did or why I felt like I did. im just real bummed, I know its a small race and just a nothing but, not to me, and I dont feel good at all about how I raced and ended it.

Cycling (Road) 2:01:04 [3] 38.13 mi (18.9 mph) +318ft

Rode this morning with dad. Good ride, cool to start and definitely noting that the summer is gone, and I couldnt be happier. Pretty solid ride with some definitely tempo pacing for the last 3/4 of the ride. Legs lacking something but hard to pinpoint, but otherwise felt good. Bike chores and stuff the rest of the day and hanging out watching IM tracker and updates, rooting on beth slater and mac.

Note

Rained alot and didnt want to muck up the mtb anymore, plus I had to glue the tubs on my new wheels. 2+hrs later and alot of messiness, worried alot of the glue that got elsewhere and should have been on the wheel/tire is not a good thing. been having dreams and all kinds of worries about gluing these tubs and having one roll in a race. wondering if they are worth all the stress and if i did a good job gluing....they look cool though :/

Cycling (Mountain) 1:11:42 [3] 15.25 mi (12.8 mph) +336ft

got out on the mtb after some light rain after work. legs still pretty flat and pretty much just spun and kept the effort mellow overall. was a nice ride, not alot of people out on the trails, awesome cloudy skies too.

Note

Legs feeling pretty sore today in different way than after long rides, also a little headache but that will be gone with lots of hydrating soon. Still pumped with how the racing went this weekend, with friends, so awesome!

Cycling (Mountain) 1:04:27 [3] 13.69 mi (12.7 mph) +304ft

Got out for an easy-steadyish spin on the mtb in the mist and drizzle. not many people out on the trails so that was nice, bike kinda gunky though at the end and saddle was moving around a little after I mounted cross style on it....nice. But a good ride, legs an uneasyish kinda sore still.
