Cycling (Road) 2:04:45 [3] 38.11 mi (18.3 mph) +331ft

Ride with my dad, alot of crazy shit today. Legs felt good and kept a solid pace on this one. Same LB-NB-HB loop.

Saw a car flipped at seapoint onto sand, found this out later, we cruised by an hour after it happened, good thing we didnt go an hour earlier like my dad and I talked about. Scary shit, seriously: http://www.ocregister.com/news/pacific-283355-inju... pray for the cyclist

Also, saw a epic tarck fixie rider crew draft my dad and i for a while, then proceed to run a few red lights and I called him out. As we got to closer to main street he blasted by us weaving around in right lane (riding rattlecanned black fixie, white front aerospoke, astana bib shorts, black hoodie, ray bans, vans, skate helmet, the works). As he got near main st. he went to go around some rider so he could run another red, realized he couldnt make it, and had to abort by running into curb and going OTB, one of the greatest things I have seen on a bike in a very long time. later down PCH, a car pulled over going slow videotaping, and an "epic fixed crew" led by the crashing hipster mutant flew by all getting videod by a car going 20 on pch, one rider yelled to my dad "san diego or bust" ....EPIC FIXED SAN DIEGO RIDE, YEAH! elephant trunk skid and trackstand contest in encinitas james? only think worse than a tri-tard is a hipster, or a group of them. gah

and wouldnt be a ride without an "epic tri geek" sighting in long beach. head to toe goodness, description: wildflower running cap, rudy project glasses, vineman tshirt, black/orange run shorts, bright blue calf sleeves, neon nike run shoes, SO FAST!

off to detail the truck downstairs :)

Cycling (Road) 3:22:44 [3] 55.25 mi (16.4 mph) +3555ft

Great ride with the walshes, ryan denner, and other guys. Mostly aerobar fanatics and anything but an easy ride, lots of good efforts mixed in on this one but felt pretty good throughout, kept it more mellow myself on the climbs but a good crew that thinned out.

Been a while since Ive done a good road ride with climbing, swamis reverse loop with extra credit san elijo climb and north route to c-bad and back down the coast. Good talking with Ryan D, Beth, James and others too. All good stuff, gotta do rides like this or more each weekend or as much as I can, key. Good ideas from James for some weekday workout intervals too, im scared. Foam rolling and stick rolling now calves now.

Cycling (Mountain) 2:11:28 [3] 16.47 mi (7.5 mph) +2917ft

What a rad mountain night ride! With Keevin and Slater, good crew, kept a good steady pace holding keevin back :)

530pm-745pm. Cooks-STT-Old Camp-STT-Luge. Night worked great, felt warm and good the whole time and not too cold but super clear, all the city lights below, pretty damn awesome.

Trail was just perfect condition. I had never ridden these before, the only stuff in the SA's i think I havent ridden other than Joplin now. Mostly all Single or DTrack. Lots of the trail was just green lush awesomeness around a perfectly smooth as butter tacky singletrack. Mountain silhouettes all around and dark quiet. Was just rad, so excited to keep doing these on wednesday nights, I love night mtbing!

Cycling (Road) 1:12:39 [3] 22.96 mi (19.0 mph) +212ft

First dawn patrol ride of the year, solo. Out the garage at 515am, done at 640am. Legs felt good, started off a little too hard and mellowed it out the last half into a slight offshore wind heading northeast. Good ride though, like the new headlight, excited to actually try it out on singletrack.

Cycling (Mountain) 55:28 [3] 12.91 mi (14.0 mph) +275ft

Snuck this one in after work, finished after sunset. Clear views again of mountains all around, very cool. Legs some mild fatigue but overall ok, tacky trails we good resistance, stayed warm and only got a little splashy muddy.
