Muddy and fun trail run with NevMonster! Felt great to be running on the trails... didn't have great amts of energy though - this may have been due to Saturday night activities... not sure... :-)

Brutal weather in Ottawa today - went to the gym and got a good headstart on my bookclub book while doing mindless cardio on the machines...

Good Ol' Goodlife Bodypump class... felt ok for not having done any strength training in a couple of weeks!

First run post marathon - spent 55 minutes having the following conversation in w myself:

brain: Running - woohoo! we love running - we have missed running all week! Lets go for a long speedy run - woohoo!

Legs: Are you kidding me? Running sucks - we just ran a marathon - no more running!

Brain: come on legs - we love this shit!

Legs: no we don't

Brain: well too bad - mind over matter... suck it up..

Legs: hmph

IT Bands: That's right brain - you can't ignore us - run is done - go home and play on your foam roller....

:-) according to my IT bands - need to continue to lay off the running for a little bit - more yoga and foam roller and lots of biking!

Awesome loop of the Gats w Trev - door to door from my house this takes approx 2.5 hours but is probably 2 hours of solid riding and half an our of lights/trying not to be hit by cars in the market and avoiding pedestrians on the bike path!

Legs felt ok - no pain cycling which is nice!

Dragged my butt to a spin class at lunch - felt ok - legs less sore than Monday but not a lot of pep in them. Had a massage and ART later in the afternoon - felt pretty awesome after that!

feel like bike commutes will be slow for a couple of days - they will also be my only form of exercise as I can't actually walk right now :-)
