Great swim. First time met Todd. Can't remember warm-up etc, just main set
15 x 50m - IM Spin on 50sec
3 x 50m - Fly/Bk, Bk/Br, Br/Fr

*Got like 2sec rest! Made them all except for last two Bk/Br.

Mindless spin on bike 2. Knee felt better out of clip. Need to move attachment on shoe.

Great run. Gorgeous sun shining, little cool. Felt good all over. Ran to river road hills and back. Not sure of distance but am guessing about 10km

Did ab set.

Did roller on IT band and quad. OUCH!!!

Rode Jackson, led Steveo. Great ride with Mom & Erin. Used full bridle. Worked on flying lead changes in open field, while trying to keep a straight line and Jackson's front half solid while hindquarters move. Did spins in arena - pretty damn good! Stops are nice without pull but not getting slide. Need exercises for this.

XC Skiing (Classic) 5:30:00 [4] 55.0 km (6:00 / km)

Canadian Birkie. 55km, Classic Ski. Edmonton. Had moments in the race where I felt great and moments where I felt terrible. Made mistake of taking jacket off near beginning then cold wind stripped all my heat and energy. When I put my jacket back on (after 20km) I as zapped of all energy. Warmth made me feel a lot better and then had moments of feeling good and moments of feeling awful. Was ok but not overly happy with my race. But the course and day was GORGEOUS!!

Ran from house down railroad tracks for approx. 6km. Was difficult run because was either hoping from railway tie to tie, running in deep chunky gravel or in soft snow. Was very slow going and made ankles tired. Gorgeous sunny day though and great practice for my propreception skills. Did 5min of stretching afterward ... ohhhh I'm tight!!

Got Mike to come climb yah!! But made me climb 3x for his every one. Did a couple wicked 5.10's. Did 5.10- on overhang wall. Didn't do enough ez climbs to warm-up. Shoulders hurt right away.

Rode Jackson, led Tuffin. Trotted to turn-around and back. Did lots of looping in arena. Focus on softening Jackson. I think he's not feeling good cause he was very mellow and sucky. Hmmm

Quick ski half way up Morraine Lake rd. (Made it to 50km sign). Est. about 6km either way. Felt great.

Downhill Skiing 3:30:00 [2]

Stupid stupid stupid. Mike & I took are massive fatty skis to the Lake to ski on. The snow was frickin hard as a rock and icy... and fat skis DON'T turn. We had to either straight line everything or side slip. Went to the bar earlier than we planned!! Hahah

Great ski at Hawkridge. Crazy fog made it so you could only see 5ft in front of you. Fairly uneventful trails were lots of fun!!

Rode Jackson, led Tuffin. Did great loop through Conservancy. Then flat work with Jackson in shank bit. He was really nice.

Felt better as nite went on and I warmed up. 400m fr felt great but was disappointing. Wanted to go 15,18,20,20 splits - 5:13'ish. Keep training hard and trying hold 1.20's comfortably. Still had lots of fun and am looking forward to Provincials to see what I can do.

Rode Jackson, led Tuffin. Rode Jack in snaffle. Felt ok. Too heavy in mouth. Am really trying to work on this.

Solid swim morning. Lots of free 100's and pull w/ paddles. (Haven't done that in a long time!) Shoulders bit sore. Need to ice and start doing bungee cords for rotator cuff.

Run (Orienteering) 1:30:00 [3]

Boot Camp-O Training. Went for easy 30min run first around McHughs Bluff then ran to YMCA in front of Eau-Claire. Did mini-boot camp + O session.
10 min - Squat jumps w. arms (20sec, 10sec off)
1 km O loop
10 min - Alt. Sprint arms (drive elbow back), and Curtsey squat (drop leg back and squat)
1 km O loop
10 min - Single leg lunge forward, single leg lunge backward
1 km O loop
10min - Hockey skate squat
1 km O loop

Great workout!!! My ass and hips were sore for 2 days!!!

Climbing with Nicki. Felt surprisingly good. Mostly did 5.10's. Thumb still little sore. Next time more overhangs!!

Rode Jackson, led Steveo. Super long trot/loop w/ Erin up road allowance on Conservancy. Beautiful beautiful ride!! Must take mtn bike up this trail.
