Run, hike, walk around Banff. Did trails up to Chateau, along river, past falls, over to Tunnel Mtn, up Tunnel Mtn & bk down, around behind Tunnel to Hoodoos parking area - then left group and walk/ran back to Leslie's. Felt ok but not great. No real energy zip - just a plod. Got to go back to Hoodoo's trail though it's gorgeous!

Quick up Prairie to tree line and back down. Went a little past tree line but was post holing and didn't have kahtoolas so bagged it. 43min to tree line was awesome cause am feeling fluish and didn't think I pushed it but just kept up a steady fast walk.

HOT HOT DAY! Hello start of heat training. Wickedly hard course - 11.6km as the crow flys .... was more like 15-20km for me. Did get the hang of it though and was really happy with self. Lots of hills, run/walk

*Good workout. Really enjoyed this one. Fr w/ fins & paddles was actually quite hard per stroke cause you pull so much water. Got HR up

32.5 times up McHugh Stairs! Whohooo
Half was with Nicki at the start, getting in time with her. Then walked 3, dble step 4, walk 5 and run down diagonal. Added 3 more walk at the end. Felt strong and could have done 40 but ran out of time. Definitely just walking them all keep heart rate even. Running 1-3 gets heart rate up so thats more intensity. Will do more running when I don't have time and can't do as many.

Helped run Mom's class - brush/tack/clean etc. Then rode Jackson & Nelly. Big field trot/lope, then extra fast trot to turn-around and back. Both horses really sweaty! Good fitness session

Mtn run with Nicki and our new friend Chelsea. Up Moose Mtn Rd - ran about 90% of it. Then up Moose Mtn Trail ...can't believe this is my first time up there. Deep snow had my back aching a bit so took a few ibu and was good. Run down Moose Rd to Sulphur/Elbow loop + extra little triangle and down. GREAT DAY!! Felt surprising strong and good the whole day. Had a really easy week last week so was rearing to go. Yahhhh I think the training is taking effect .....

Two times up Prairie Mtn. Really watched clock and tried to hammer. No stops for the whole thing!!
First time up: 1:04 to top
Run down: 28min (Flew! Snow helps. No pause or stop)
2nd time up: 1:01 (Whoohoo! Didn't take a single pause the whole way. Just couldn't make myself run the last bit to the top. Oh well now have a goal to break an hour).
Run down: 34min ..... was definitely starting to feel some tiredness and sore quads.

(Suffer fest Tues/Weds - quads killing for all out down hills)

Gorgeous run in the mtns with my sister. Ran Sulphur Springs Trail, across Moose Mtn rd (and that little loop), back on Elbow Valley Trail. Then over to Allen Bill and around Fullerton Loop. Beauty!!
