heels slightly better after yesterday? seemed better until evening.
various other places in feet feeling a bit funny, again perhaps because of acupuncture
20mins walk am; 2 mins running back down the hill after Maw phoned to tell me about a screaming Emma. Heels sore to run, even downhill (to Grandpa's from police college gate)
heels feeling not bad at all today. (Ibuprofen last night)
good on getting up, got a bit sore later on in morning, but eased during afternoon. - able to walk downstairs in bare feet normally!!
attempted a run. R foot fine, L back of heel sore.
so only did a tiny amount and came home.
backs of heels feeling better this morning, thanks I guess to Ibuprofen last night.
tried running this pm but too sore (backs of heels).
walk round rabbit walk + up minor hill looking for cows. pushed Emma round most of it.
Heels really quite sore by the evening.
drove to Swanston, then very fast walk up Allermuir and Caerketton, with some small sections of running on downhills and flats. total time 67mins. runnign time above is mainly for walking fast up steepest bits.
fronts of ankles esp L were sore before I started and ankles generally very sore near the end and afterwards, so probably shouldn't have done it.
But it was a very nice day!
ankles feeling good this morning having had Ibuprofen last night.
am: estate loop, R in pushchair, E in sling.
pm: to and from Heather's, R in pushchair, E in sling. then on my own down to end of Braidburn Park and back.
R foot not quite right while walking to and from Braidburn.
Backs of ankles not as bad as usual
pm R in pushchair E in sling bypass E and back. ankles and foot not as bad as previously - not walking very fast, perhaps this helped?
later, took Rufus round estate loop. feeling OK
R foot + ankle generally good today
L ankle sore at back. Noticed I'm especially poor at walking down stairs, esp on L foot - doesn't like the lifting up bit, and also sometimes get shooting pains from sole of foot on landing on L side
Dave ill.
am: E in sling, R in pushchair, squirrel wood and estate loop, 30 mins. R foot didn't like it at all.
pm: R in pushchair, Bypass East 30 mins. R foot really quite sore. Had to have Ibuprofen and Co-codamol afterwards.
round bonfire loop. Ankles and feet, esp R, didn't like it - too bumpy? also haven't been stretching my calves as much as I should, and R calf felt tight. Annoying that R foot started hurting again - haven't had that for a while.
Sore R ankle in evening
L back of ankle stiff and bit sore at start of walk this morning, unusual because ankles are usually OK after initial bit of mornings now...
ankle OK after a bit of the walk, and then OK for rest of day.
walk from Heather's on my own round Buckstone full loop.
am: drove to driving range carpark, then Emma in pushchair, Rachel supposedly walking, to see the cows in their fields. had to carry Rachel a lot of the way there and most of the way back.
Ankles and R foot really didn't like it, quite stiff and sore afterwards.
pm: R and E to Heather's (drove). Then walk Buckstone and Mortonhall on my own. Ankles and R foot not as bad as I expected, but not brilliant.
Afterwards, though, felt surprisingly good.
Emma in pushchair to swings, had to carry Rachel a little bit. On way home, Emma in sling, Rachel in pushchair.
L side: bit of shin splints! front of ankle slightly sore. back of ankle and achilles very tight, but not overly sore.
R side OK
fast walk up Allermuir. ankles felt surprisingly OK afterwards, bit stiff but not too bad. L knee felt a bit wobbly while coming downhill - lack of supporting muscles?
1 hour walk round rabbit walk. action still feels better than before, striking ground more correctly.
however, by the evening, L ankle has reacted really badly to it, with achilles tightening up badly and also pain round ankle bone.
have had a bad bout of vomiting bug this week. Rachel had it last Thurs onwards, I got it a bit on Sunday and was a bit ill Sun, Mon ,Tues, came down with it really badly Tues night and all Wed.
today, did a 30 min brisk walk. all ankle pain and swelling has gone, hooray, and best of all, R foot seemed to be using a much better action, striking the ground at a much better angle.
