from Junior Park run round the Stirling loop of the marathon course, running the underpasses a couple of times and getting lost in Riverside, then out to Stirling Uni to run that loop, then forced my body back home via Wallace Monument and Blairlogie, until giving in at TIlli and phoning Dave to come and rescue me.
Not a good run at all, and probably should have stopped at 15k after recceing Stirling Uni. Slow pace through Stirling because of reading the map, avoiding cars and pedestrians, and sharp corners / short sharp ups and downs / doing 180 degree turns. Main problems in terms of running was that I got really cold, was already tired, and hadn't eaten enough yesterday. Also stopped a lot to sort out gel holder / jacket / get phone out etc, although I think most of the actual standing still won't be included in the time - out for 3'03'43 in total.
So: must eat properly the day before a long run; don't bother looking at a map or waiting for cars; take enough clothing (it's April in Scotland so expect winter conditions)
