thought I might do some training. top road there and back.
seemed hard work to start with until I realised that was because I was actually going quite fast.
thought I might be on for a PB but strava thinks not - possibly second fastest: second best time on the way back, with a noticeable head wind.
trying hard, but not racing flat out. trying harder on the way back than on the way out.
definitely needed another week's taper in between Gold D of E and marathon - could feel the difference in my legs today compared to the week prior to marathon.

occasional bits of very short jogs (about 10 paces at a time) to keep up with Storm and Emma
quad apparently better than Saturday but didn't want to risk doing any more...
