cycling 42:00 [3]

To band and back. Actually skytrained back part way due to being very very tired. Damn antihistamines!

Orienteering 31:39 [3]

Partner exercise with Meg at Iona. Fun course, as there was no beach running! Great new map!

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

Checking control locations for WET at Central Park. Not much undergrowth right now, so the paths are a little indistinct to say the least!

Gym 1:15:00 [3]

Yoga. Good class. Lots of planks and chair

Orienteering 1:02:00 [3]

UBC dog legs - 3 controls per leg. Had a decent route. Trying to keep your planned route in your head is hard though... next time I'm writing it down!

Long run, felt tired by the end and leg hurting.

Orienteering 1:10:41 [3]

Gorgeous day on one of my favourite maps. Was careful with the scale, which often screws me up here, and was fine for the first couple of controls. Hesitated at 3, losing all the time I gained on Ian by taking a smarter route. 4-10 were fine, 11-14 were a little sloppy, but not too bad. And then came 15... I got confused, tried to relocate, couldn't find a good attackpoint, ended up accidentally running nearly to 16, before I went back to 14 and walked. Even then had problems... bailed to the road to regroup to 16, but by then I was tired and losing focus. Made stupid mistakes back to the finish.

Take aways - don't be distracted by others; when you try to relocate stop, relocate, walk for a bit to make sure you are definitely where you think you are...

Knee was sore after 1 hr. Ignored the pain and kept running, and it's still hurting 6 hrs later... grrrr.

cycling 45:00 [3]

Cycled to band and then to Edmonds to skytrain home. Very tired, and couldn't get any speed. I'm going to blame the slightly flat tires :)

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Fun orienteering at Vanier Park (never thought I'd say that!). Ran the partner exercise and individual course with Trish. Chatted the whole way, so we didn't push the pace too much.

Leg started to hurt around 20 minutes, but I just ignored it and it kinda went away. Maybe I should just stop being such a wuss!

Running 27:00 [3]

Run in the light... yay! Round Central Park. Legs sore.

Running 47:02 [3]

Jog around false creek after work. Nice to run in the daylight!

Calves tight until 20 mins in.

Running 16:00 [3]

From work to False Creek for Orienteering

Orienteering 45:00 [3]

Orienteering at False Creek. Ended up cutting the course short. Maybe I wasn't running fast enough, but my leg wasn't sore until near the end! Yippee!

Running 18:00 [3]

Club run with Meg. Short warm up, then 3x round Musqueam Park. Started at the NW corner of the park, and followed the trail to the SE corner. Reckon it was 650-700m.

Times:
2:49
2:41
2:42

Probably wasn't pushing hard enough, as I could breathe too easily at the end!

Meg had a sore leg, so we walked back.

Running 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Short run down to Deer Lake and back up the stairs. Various muscle aches, but the knee wasn't sore until I got back home. Gorgeous day!

Gym 1:15:00 [3]

Yoga. Mike was particularly harsh tonight. Ouch!

Orienteering 30:38 [3]

Fun control picking in Queens Park. Did great for about 10 controls, then not so good. Felt super unfit and lost concentration.... icy and muddy in parts :)
