cycling 40:00 [3] 11.89 km (3:22 / km)

Cycled to work over the new Dunsmuir bike lane. Nice day for a ride. Tired now after the weekend

cycling 15:00 [3]

Cycled from work to Lumbermans Arch to see how the event at Stanley Park went. Then went to top up the tyre with the broken valve... which snapped off completely. Nice ride home in the Rance/Lachance van with bike.

Note
(rest day)

I should have run the Nester's Hill relay, but my leg was really sore after falling Friday and Sunday! I decided that trekking up a large hill was not probably the best idea ever, so I helped on start again! BBQ up the mountain was a lot of fun, as was peak to peak gondola!

Orienteering 59:29 [3]

Middle distance at Brandywine. This is a fun map and was a fun course (thanks Carol!). The start was a bit stressful, being a WRE event. After hearing horror stories from others, I decided to take it slow and be precise (plus my leg was hurting from my nice trip on Friday!). Took a bearing from start to 1, thought it was a little off, but the compass is always right, right?? After race discussion seems to think the power line might have pulled it off a bit, because I had to go more south than the compass said! Overshot number 4, and had problems with number 7. Not terribly happy with the overall race, since I did make a few mistakes. But it was fun event on a really cool map!
