Round Lost Lake. Fun run. No bears this week.

Warm up down the hill from Gilmore. Accident on the second narrows had traffic in a tizzy!

Orienteering 30:00 [3]

Otervals at PNE. Did the first few as a flow exercise, skipping choice controls. It was dark, I was on my own, and there were sketchy people around. Did the last 3 concentrating on planning ahead to exit the control in the right direction and refold the map quickly. Still sick, but running felt pretty good.

Orienteering 44:24 [3]

Nesters Hill. Good contact most of the time. Some sketchy route choices. Sick, so running was minimal!

Orienteering 1:16:34 [3]

Lost Lake long. 1-7 were fine, if a little slow. Got distracted by bears on the way to 8. Found 12 instead of 9, as my brain was turning off. Decided just to carry on from there, and finish the course.

Fitness wise I felt good, although I felt really crappy from this cold/flu thing I have. Orienteering wise I was not smooth, and there was little flow. However I did navigate well through some more challenging terrain, and my relocation skills have definiately improved. I was never really lost, which I find encouraging!
