Skiing 1:30:00 [3]

Skiing with Pascal and Jon at Whistler. My IT band was not happy, leading to some interesting compensation, resulting in a lot of calf and quad pain.... Or maybe I'm just unfit. It was a beautiful day with nice snow and the lines weren't too crazy.

Running 6:00 [3]

I know it's pathetic, and I did consider not logging, but I figured I need to keep a log... physio-prescribed running. 30 seconds on, 4.5 minutes off. It was freeking cold, but since nothing hurt I get to ramp up to 1 minute on and 4 minutes off on Friday! Woot!

cycling 30:00 [3]

To wotk at Women's hospital. Daydreaming and missed the turn for Heather St, so ended up cycling up Yukon and across.... Felt way better than last week. Physio Evelyn says I can start running again, but only on trails, no pavement. Yay!

Home from work.

This is an example of the wonderful people I deal with at work. Right now I'm at BC Women's Hospital every 2nd day to work. This is the conversation that took place today.

Colleague: Oh, I went to a spin class last night.
Me: Cool! Where?
Colleague: At Hillcrest Community Centre, you know, by Nat Bailey Stadium.
Me: It's really nice there.
Colleague: Yeah, pain to get there though. I had to get the #17, then the #99 to Main, and a bus. I was late for my class.
Me: Is Hillcrest not just a short walk from here? I'm sure it's not too far. *We look up google maps*
Me: Look, google says it's only a 20 minute walk, but it usually over estimates, so it'll take 15 minutes or so. Or you could walk to Cambie and 29th and get on the 33 (for literally 2 blocks).
Colleague: No, that looks too far. I'll just leave work earlier to get there on time.

I stopped talking after that... it was probably for the best.
