(rest day)

Rest day for a few reasons... Pascal and I took possession of our new apartment today. Took 2.5 hours to get the keys, although this dud include a 1 hour lunch. Rest was issues with my friends car starting... They only gave us 4 keys and no fob, so we went to the apartment from my work (should be 4 minute drive) to check what was there. This involved us finding someone to jump her car both to leave Lonsdale and then also the new apartment when we were done...

My back has been tight, and I managed to move funny and now I have a pain from my lower back down through my left glute and down my leg. It doesn't hurt too much, more just uncomfortable and irritating. Went to chiropracter which helped. Back to him on Tuesday...

So with all of that, then going back to Broadway to pack up and move stuff for the week to the new place so we can start painting and replacing the flooring, there's only so many hours in the day!

15 minutes of warm up, then 2 minutes hard and 4 minutes slow x6. Didn't feel like I was really pushing the pace but I'm not sure I could have run much faster. During #3 I had a sharp pain in my lower back. Stopped for a couple of minutes to stretch then it was fine. Feeling a little creaky in general, but that's been since the bike trip.

To the top of the Marine Dr Hill and back home on the bike since today was cross training. Lots going on, so missed the strength session. Will try to tack that on to another workout this week.

Waited until after the rain. Nice and quiet along marine.

First day of new training plan wot Kate found online. Today called for 30 minute easy run. Went straight after work. Lovely evening. Did a 1 minute walk after 15 minutes, just in case, but all felt fine!

Warm up/down - 10 minutes fast walking

Stretched and everything... I'm so good!

Also went to massage today for back, shoulders, and ankles. Have been ordered to return 2-3 times... it must be bad, because he usually just sends me on my way! Got some calf and upper body stretches, and some neck stretches too... mainly for on the bike.

Home from work. All the way home today! Slightly different route, which involved one Creek crossing, Stanley Park trails, the seawall, and the stairs up to the burrard street bridge.

Still on 5 minutes running, 1.5 minutes walking.

Felt much stronger today than on Monday,and much less tight afterwards. I guess this stretching business does help some! Was able to push the pace a little more towards the end.

About 15 minutes stretching before work, then 15 minutes after the run. Lots of lower back stretches and ankle /calf stretches. Massage on Monday will hopefully help too
