Orienteering race (Chester City Race) 37:29 [5] ***** 5.0 km (7:30 / km)
ahr:167 max:179 spiked:13/13c

Fantastic event, I hope it becomes an annual race.
This was my first city race that wasn't a sprint event, and Chester has so many little interesting alleys and rows.
I think we all kept the Japanese tourists well entertained.
I was really pleased with my result - 7th on the B race, Womens open and a few others. I was 4th woman overall, only 3 mins down on the winner. Not bad considering I went to control 8 before 7, and lost maybe 30 seconds in doing so.

Orienteering race (Welsh Champs) 1:14:39 [5] **** 5.63 km (13:16 / km) +250m 10:51 / km
ahr:161 max:177 spiked:13/17c

Wentwood is full of brashings and brambles. I am full of scratches and bruises!
Not sure what was happening, but lots of mis-punches on my course - people missing controls, never the same ones.
Navigation was good, just one error on the last control, but the map was poor. I must have been at the control, but failed to see it as the significant feature on the map (which was adjacent to the control) and my attack point just wasn't there! Lost 2 mins, and relocated by taking a bearing from the finish, back to where I had been.
