Orienteering race (Gumeracha Goldfields) 1:00:00 [3] *** 5.6 km (10:43 / km)
shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Didn't feel like running, but got guilt tripped into it. Had my cold still and it was raining. I forgot to wear my Ankle Brace which made it my first Orienteering Race since i sprained my ankle. I was kind of nervous as a result. Ended up being a little bit fun.

(sick)

I have a cold, it sucks

MTB (Mount Lofty and Cleland) 1:48:30 [3] 14.4 km (8.0 kph)
ahr:144 max:177 (injured) shoes: Merida MATS 500

What a fun day out. Easy riding for the most part, with quite a few up hills, balanced out with a few nice down-hills. I managed to go base over apex when i was going down a small drop off. Not too sure how it all happened, but i suspect i had the front brake on too hard, and was leaning too far forward. Someone had to fall, pity it was me. I managed to break the screen on my GPS and my big toe is suspect, either sprained or broken. Loads of fun

Running intervals (North Adelaide) 40:00 [4] 7.5 km (5:20 / km)
ahr:160 max:192 shoes: Gel Kayano

The usual loop around North Adelaide, I threw in some surges, 4 in all, to break up the monotony. Felt pretty good. I was impressed at how good these kids are getting (speed wise) i struggled to keep up with the front of the pack.

Running tempo 26:17 [4] 5.0 km (5:15 / km)
ahr:171 max:189 shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Needed to go for a run. So i did. And i ran fast.
Isn't running fun? (do you put a ? on a rhetorical question?)

GOLF long (Belair Golf Course) 2:30:00 [0] 2.46 km (1:00:59 / km)
shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Played the front 9 with Troy and Brett. First time in a long time i have hit a ball around. I never was a good golfer, and apparently it doesn't improve with age. Though a good fun morning out.

Orienteering race (Badge Event Ngaralta) 1:05:48 [4] *** 6.8 km (9:41 / km)
ahr:147 max:171 spiked:14/15c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Finally the last race of the carnival. I am pretty much burnt out. left home at 6 to get the the event and set up, run the race, and then pack up. Had to stop for pee break which cost me some time. Shouldn't follow nice young ladies on the course, often they are not going to the same control as i found out on my way to #6.

Orienteering race (AMDC Pewsey Vale) 1:04:15 [5] *** 5.7 km (11:16 / km)
ahr:150 max:170 spiked:19/21c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Didn't really have the energy for this race. I think the carnival has really run me down, i was at the event at sunrise to put up PA, and get the finish ready. Perhaps i am just making excuses.

Orienteering race (ASC Galaxy @ Nuriootpa) 22:09 [5] **** 3.4 km (6:31 / km)
ahr:176 max:188 spiked:26/26c shoes: Gel Kayano

I thought i was faster than i actually was.

MTB race (Mount Crawford MTBO) 2:00:00 [2] 24.0 km (12.0 kph)

MTBO Score event. Wasn't sure how i would go, and mid-filed is acceptable i guess. Lost a far bit of time riding along poorly chosen tracks, and up incorrect tracks all together. Probably wouldn't have gone if i knoew it was going to cost me $30 in event fees alone.

Running 24:30 [4] 4.5 km (5:27 / km)
ahr:164 max:181 shoes: Gel Kayano

Morning run in my new Arrows Top. Felt good in the top, and it felt as though the traffic was looking at me. Even was recognised as an orienteer by a passing motorist. pretty cool. Hard top to take off in a hurry.

Orienteering race (Worlds End South) 46:10 [5] **** 4.7 km (9:49 / km) +260m 7:42 / km
ahr:172 max:192 spiked:17/17c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

My best day. Last starter in the heat at 12:28. I had already climbed a long way to the start, but still had 260m climb on the course. I think i orienteered mostly well, a couple of minor issues with climbing too high to have to drop back into the controls. Though it was bloody hot, performed really well. Finished in 6th place for the day, and lifted myself to 8th place overall.

Orienteering race (Twigham) 49:50 [5] **** 5.7 km (8:45 / km)
ahr:164 max:182 spiked:11/12c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Day 2 of easter. All of this course was climbing, since the start was so much lower then the finish. I managed an almost decent race, though still way off the mark on the results table. I beat Karl! Now only 48" behind him going into the last day. I will need to work hard. 7th place.

Orienteering race (Twigham) 1:04:20 [5] *** 6.5 km (9:54 / km)
ahr:161 max:182 spiked:11/13c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

Crumpled under the pressure of the mass start. Stuffed the long first leg when the pack did things that i didn't expect. Lost a lot of time, and energy running around trying to relocate. Really quite shitted off by this. Karl beat me. 12th place.

Orienteering race (Worlds End North) 26:25 [5] **** 3.2 km (8:15 / km)
ahr:176 max:190 spiked:15/18c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

The Slologue Sprint. After a frantic morning setting up the event, i wasn't so much in the mood to be racing. This showed in my result. Though the course wasn't overly technical, i didn't seem to orienteer at all well. Karl beat me.

Orienteering race (Para Wirra) 1:11:00 [4] 8.0 km (8:53 / km)
ahr:156 max:180 shoes: Jalas O Shoes (red and black o

Shouldn't have run in the Jalas shoes, tripped over everything because of my silly clown shoes.
