Running (Morialta) 1:03:04 [3] 7.2 km (8:46 / km)
ahr:150 max:185 shoes: Asics Gel Trabuco X

Hard work on a hot night. My legs were really heavy going up the hill, and it took me sometime to get into running too. But still enjoyed myself even though i was the tail end again. It wasn't too bad a temperature once we got back down the hill.

Running (Brown Hill Creek) 1:07:50 [3] 11.3 km (6:00 / km)
ahr:166 max:179 shoes: Asic Kayano XIII

Ran with Catherine, Thought it was going to be the usual loop, but with Daylight Savings and all we did something different. We went most of he way up Brown Hill Creek and then turned around and came back down it. It was a fun jog though it took me some time to get a rythm and the aching out of my legs.

Note

I noted today that there were 700 people that have read my Attackpoint log. I know it isn't 700 different people, but i'm amazed that anyone actually reads the shit i dribble after training. Keep up the reading, and i will make sure i keep up the training!

Running hills (Morialta) 51:05 [4] 7.2 km (7:06 / km)
ahr:137 max:184 shoes: Asics Gel Trabuco X

Seemed a little slow, but i was the tail marker again and was trying to get a lot of slow movers moving. Still had fun. It was good to have Simon along, though every time he turned back it mad me realise how slow i was moving because i knew where he turned around and each time i saw him i was a long way from that point. I think i will step up the pace next week and someone else can watch the end.

Running (McElligots Quarry Loop) 35:05 [4] 6.7 km (5:14 / km)
ahr:155 max:189 shoes: Asic Kayano XIII

First time on this loop in a while. Managed to run all the way from Fullarton Road to the top (at the Quarry) i didn't think it was a bad effort. Bumped into Lexie and Mike on the way around. This neighbourhood is getting smaller. I love living here. Felt a bit tired towards the end end felt i was struggling a bit. But all up i was pleased with my run.

Cycling (Thorndon Park) 1:35:35 [4] 37.5 km (23.5 kph)
ahr:164 max:180 shoes: Merida MATS 500

After much deliberation last night mainly as a result of Simon's Taunting i decided i would not enter the Black Hill Challenge. So to make up for it i decided to ride there for the finish. I left home about the same time as the race started (8am) and i made there with about 10min rest before the finishers were arriving. So i got to see the whole team finish. Out of the 10 orienteers that started, 5 got prizes. It was soo cool to see the Arrows Jerseys coming over the finishing line and during the presentations. The Southern Arrows rock.

As for the ride it was pretty dull, all on roads, no bumps, jumps or exciting drop-offs. I should get a road bike for this type of ride.

Cycling (Home to Work Commute) 55:00 [2] 21.5 km (23.5 kph)
ahr:165 max:182 shoes: Merida MATS 500

The Thursday morning commute. Not too bad, left half an hour later then last week and made it to work and ready to role by 835. not a bad effort. I forgot my gloves and my bike lock. So i had to find a room at work to hide my bike. Unfortunately the only place i could think of was in Module 4. So i entered the module from the outside, and found the alarm to be on still. "Ok, I'll turn it off." Hmm my card doesn't work. WOOP WOOP WOOP. Shit. I haven't yet presented myself to the staff in my cycling attire so i had to sneak through to find someone who could turn it off. Thankfully Rhyss came to the rescue and understood my dilema. It turns out that i don't have security access to Module 4, though i can still open the door. Strange system.

Note

Didn't ride home because of the weather and general tiredness. The train ride home was relaxing, no stress at all. And slower trip home than if i had ridden.
