HOT! and no breeze. I thought it might be cooler by the creek, but it wasn't. It was more humid. I walked more than i usually do on this loop.

Pram Orienteering with Patrick and Fern.
Left all the navigation up to Fern while I pushed Paddy along. He was quite happy to sit and watch the paths and laneways go by. I think this was officially Paddy's first Orienteering!

Pram run around the 'Dene

A different approach to Monday Run. It was great to have Fern running too, as Troy and I both pushed prams containing offspring (the children - not the band). Felt pretty good, but obviously slower than a normal run. We went up to Bridgemon's to collect them as Vodafone failed to deliver my text messages for them to come early (i'm with Telstra). Troy was a bit more of a rogue than me when it came to controlling the pram, i think this made Fern happy.

Verdun and Cox's Creek

A rather pleasant run with the crew. I turned back sooner than the others because i wasn't up for the additional 3kms into Mylor. This made it a nice 11km loop. Which apparently i last did in 2012 with Simon and John.

Woorabinda and Aldgate

Fern and Patrick went to Baby Yoghurt class, so i went for a run from the Aldgate Oval. Really felt tough. Afterwards we walked back to the bakery in Aldgate to ruin any benefit the training may have caused.

Woorabinda and Old Mt Barker Road

First Bridgewater run for me this season as i have had other things going on previously. I was a bit worried about how un fit i was but the usual loop backs were done by the fitter crew to make me feel like i was holding them up... :P I was quite surprised how quick the kilometres ticked over while chatting which made the run much more achievable. The best moment of the run was when Zara pulled a miniture bottle of white wine from her bum bag and proceeded to swig the contents. This was very amusing, but it turned out the bottle was only filled with water and not anything stronger. The group split up at Stirling for half to go up to Crafers while the rest of us went up Gould Ave to Old Mount Barker Road to have a nice decent back into Bridgewater. Gould Avenue was a lot less steep than i remembered from one of my very early Bridgewater runs.
