A nice run with a nasty pasty climb! After the deluge of last night the creeks were a little more swollen and the shrubery damp enough to soak a runner. Still pleasant and extended slightly to make this over 7km. Saw no one which was nice and peaceful. Opted to go back down the gully to keep the peaceful run with no Freeway noise and to minimise the impact of the showery shower that came through.

Did this loop backward from normal for a bit of fun. It was a beautiful morning to get out and do it. Was feeling a little short of breath from my cold, but otherwise it was pretty great. I'm going to miss my Wednesday and Friday morning runs.

Took Paddy around on course 9. He likes jumping in puddles, digging in sand and punching controls. He doesn't like racing too fast, leaving puddles behind and keeping his gumboots on in the carrier.... Loads of fun spending time with this champ!

A fairly fun course in a newly runnable map (burnt out a couple of years ago which has made it a lot less terrible to run). I pushed relatively hard to try to get back and find Patrick, so was aiming for 45min. I managed 46:32, so pretty pleased. As a bonus i beat Slatts by 1 second, so super pleased.

Thought I'd try out the cycling legs again. Nearly U-turned for home before i got there because of the rain, but checking the radar showed no rain soon. Didn't ontend to stay out for the full 3 hours, but only wanted to check out the estuary out of curiosity. It was pretty easy going with a few great puddles. Got swooped by 1 magpie and my map board fell apart in the first 30min.... Finished in time for an early Beck's Bakehouse lunch.

Second attempt to find th waterfall. Bingo - Found it! I turned left instead of right, slid down a big hill, found the waterfall then had to clamber past it to continue on the trail. Joyous morning run!
