Orienteering race (The Sandmine) 1:41:04 [4] **** 12.3 km (8:13 / km)
ahr:166 max:180 spiked:23/24c shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

The Long Race for the weekend. Probably the first ong race i have been into with an attitude to competing, rather than just finishing. Wasn't a bad effort i thought, though i did come last out of the arrows. Including the women! Had fun, and my ankle remained in tact. Felt like a bit of a vegetable after, so i bought 3 pieces of cake. Yum

Running tempo (Springfield Loop) 52:50 [3] 9.3 km (5:41 / km) +185m 5:10 / km
ahr:153 max:181 shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

A bit of a jaunt with Susanne and Catherine. Did a couple of hills, and had a few good yarns. There were wierd things going on at the Quarry, not sure what, but they were wierd. Ran away.

$ run thorughs in front of the Colonel. High Knees, Strides, Springs, and 3/4 Pace. The across the road to do the longer reps. 6 in all of about 1 1/2 min with 2 1/2 to 3 min recovery. Didn't put in enough effort i don't think. But still worked hard.

Running (The Mikey Run) 44:36 [3] 7.3 km (6:07 / km)
ahr:151 max:177 shoes: Asics Trabuco IV

The Honourable Mr Mikey joined us for the run tonight. It was a good run, with hills, mud and train tracks. Never done this loop before, so it is to be known as the Mikey Run. It of course has nothing to do with Mikey, except he ran it with Susanne and myself. Yo will note that i am not wearing my Kayanos tonight. I think that was the cause of my pain. I will try again tomorrow with my Trabuco's to see what happens.
