Orienteering race (Cantara OY) 1:14:35 [3] ***** 5.0 km (14:55 / km)
ahr:149 max:171 shoes: Asics Gel Trabuco XI

With no pressure on me to go super fast, i relaxed to focus on navigation and flow. It worked pretty well and i only got nervous when i was made aware of a snake spotted at my next control. I think this caused me to lose a lot of speed on the course as i spent more time looking for snakes then i did looking for attack points. I'm getting better though, i did see 3 snakes on the weekend.

Orienteering race (Cantara Sprint) 24:45 [4] ***** 3.2 km (7:44 / km)
ahr:170 max:185 shoes: Asics Gel Trabuco XI

I got roped into the "elite" start list for this race. Which put me under pressure to try and stay in front of all the victorians. No chance. I was passed by Jim by the 2nd leg, Blair by the 3rd leg and Bruce by the 4th leg. Still it was heaps of fun and felt pretty good to do under 10min/km again.

Running intervals (Belair) 1:15:00 [3] 9.1 km (8:15 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Trabuco XI

This ended up being more epic then expected. Nicole and I (being the slow runners) split off from the main group after the climb to the railway line. Then never made the rendezvous point. But we were later told that neither did the main group. I here that the main group were a bunch of slackers and came back a bit of a shorter way, while us tough ones went all the way around to long gully then back down the main road.

Hillarity enused after the run with the BBQ at Scott's house. Back to old fashioned wood and metholated spirits. It does wonders to fire lighting, just not so condusive to meat cooking.

Running (Morialta) 53:20 [3] 7.3 km (7:18 / km)
ahr:169 max:187 shoes: Asics Gel Trabuco XI

I think they have made the tracks steeper. Even Simon couldn't get me to run up the hill. He might have to rethink his tactics. I'd suggest Cheerleaders. Bikini-clad.
It was a fun run though, and dinner afterwards at the Tower Hotel just made it awesomer.

Running (Mitcham) 51:25 [3] 7.3 km (7:03 / km)
ahr:163 max:186 shoes: Asic Kayano XIII

Sort of usual Monday run. These are starting to get popular! Simon as always has put in a good effort to make sure I'm not slack.
