Running (Cairns Waterfront) 49:16 [3] 8.6 km (5:44 / km)
ahr:168 max:183 shoes: Asics Gel Kayano XV

Waking up early on a Sunday means my legs want me to run. So i obliged. No hills today though. Headed south from my apartment to the Convention Centre, then out to the end of the breakwater couple of huge private catamarans out there today.... I stopped there to stretch and look at all the boats and then headed north along the waterfront all the way to the fun ship. Couple of things to note from today. No matter what the temperature is up here you will sweat your entire body weight in .......sweat. And no matter where on earth you are it is not EVER acceptable to run in budgie smugglers.... EVER. No more arguement. Before anyone asks it was not me in budgie smugglers.
For some reason my GPS keeps putting me somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere. Gotta work that one out.

Note

second day in a row, i have taken my shoes and socks off and found one of my toes bleeding. No pain, but blood coming from a cracked nail. It's odd.

Running (Red Trail) 40:32 [3] 6.1 km (6:39 / km) +136m 5:59 / km
ahr:164 max:182 shoes: Asics Gel Kayano XV

First FNQ run in about 3 months. It was some effort, i should've left earlier but didn't because Rage kept on playing awesome songs. Took off for the Red Trail loop from my apartment, was feeling pretty good until i hit the steps, then wow. It was humid. Got to the top to discover 3 blokes each had dragged a sack of spuds from the bottom to the top. No doubt they'll drag them back down again too. It was nice to see the Customs Dash 8 taking off below my vantage point. Cairns is a really great place to run. This time of year though it is apparent to be wary of rogue Mangos falling from trees. To me it seems like such a waste to see so many Mangos on the the ground. I felt like picking them all up and have them for breakfast. I didn't. Mmmm Cornflakes.

Gym (Trainer) 45:00 [3]
ahr:138 max:168

A somewhat warm, sweaty and sluggish night at the gym. I have a feeling that my PT thought i was fainting while trying to do a squat/hold as i was slowly falling over. Little did he know i actually am a uncoordinated klutz who can't even stand up without falling over.
After the gym i moved some furniture out onto the road for hard rubbish, and then Fern and i celebrated the removal of the Porch Couch with some icecream at Glenelg.

Running (Torrens Park) 49:28 [3] 8.1 km (6:06 / km)
ahr:162 max:178 shoes: Asics Gel Kayano XV

John and I ended up the only two takers of the usual 18:30 run from my house for various excuses. So we did the usual loop, but backwards..... How crazy are we? It made for some different views for a change. Quite a slow pace, but plenty of good conversation.
