Browns Reef
8:03 AM. Bendigo. Burned 575 calories.
Course: Hageby 6.2 km
This was a great fun race. I was running the B course so i didn't show up any of the elites. The mass start was fun and i stuck with the front of the pack all the way to #1, thankfully my #1 was the one everyone was running too (and not the majority of the packs!). My navigation was fairly fluid and my legs felt pretty good. I somehow managed to omit going to #4 all together and DNF'd the course. What was even stranger is that i skipped a control to create a leg which was on my second loop, i didn't follow anybody at all, and i never even noticed that i ran the same leg twice in the same race. What is even stranger is that i did the same leg twice, choosing two different route choices each time. Weird. I'm not really upset by this DNF, i had a great run and enjoyed every bit of the course. Though i wish i had got to see the cairn at #4, i like Cairns.

Petticoat Gully
1:52 PM. Creswick. Burned 333 calories.
Course: Middle 3.9 km
John set us a training course on Petticoat Gully. It was tough trying to remember how to navigate through terrain like this. I completely stuffed the second leg as i left the control in the wrong direction by about 30degrees. I moved pretty well over the ground and caught up a few people too!

Orienteering race 25:50 intensity: (25 @1) + (20 @2) + (3:35 @3) + (21:30 @4) *** 4.14 km (6:14 / km) +65m 5:47 / km

Salomon Links
6:27 PM. Bendigo. Burned 392 calories.
Course: Sprint 3.7 km
The First race of the Bendigo TwoDay Event. The sprint was around a mostly disused golf course- although the front nine were still in use (and still in use during the race to the bemusement of at least one golfer). I felt i was running pretty well. I managed to stuff up only 2 controls which probably cost me 2-3minutes. I had difficulty following my directrion from the bush into the golfcourse and ended up a long way from where i wanted to be. I managed to not trip over that fence that everyone else did! A really fun course!

Karka
6:45 PM. Belair NP. Burned 562 calories.

For some reason no one was motivated tonight, so we only did a short one. That suited me fine too. There were heaps of people in the park tonight, probably due to the MTB chanps being held nearby (a lot seemed to be backpacker types hiding in the park for the night. We even saw a Koala crossing a bridge, he/she seemed a little bewildered by us, but eventually we found the same koala perched in a tree on our way back down. Koalas are cool.

Seaside Saunter
6:22 PM. Ardrossan. Burned 290 calories.

A quick evening run with my Chainy from the day Jesse. He is a footy play so has quick legs but they don't last long. There was a mad southerly blowing which was whipping up the sea heaps and made it quite difficult to run.

Ferns Hilly Hill Run with Hills
6:41 PM. Eden Hills. Burned 577 calories.

Run with a smaller crew from our place and around and up and down and up and down and up and down a couple of hills. There were hills on this run which made it hilly. The hills varied from hilly to really hilly, i couldn't believe my eyes when we went over a hill and there was another hill. I saved some ducks from being hit by a car.
