John's Long Run
10:46 AM. Morialta. Burned 1393 calories.

Fern and I decided the trip to Pewsey Vale was going to be suurplus to requirements, so we opted for a nice long run in Morialta following closely John's route from Wednesday. It was a doozy. 450m climb in the first 6km and then a nice long downhill run back (with some ups and downs). Wierdest thing of the day was the bogans with rifles on Moores Road shooting at a traffic cone (witches hat). There were stacks of people in the park and i think some were confused as to why we passed them for a second time. They thought we were doing laps. The run from 3rd falls down to the carpark still is one of my favourite ever runs. The run from the carpark up to deep view is still one of my biggest nemises. Even if we went to deepview the long way. We fit in a hot chocolate at Bracegirdle's on the way home!

Flood Control Dam
4:00 PM. Magpie Gully. Burned 691 calories.

Afternoon run with Fern to the Flood Control Dam and back. I felt it necessary to spit off the dam and watch it fall into the river below. Fern thought i was disgusting. The run back was tougher than the run there, but i enjoyed most of it.

We ran up to the Redwoods and back. I pushed myself on the way up along the gravel track rather than the road, and i really needed the stop at the old kiosk. Apparently i was cruisy on the way back down, perhaps because i was tired, or perhaps because Aiden was being left behind. Either way i had a good ol' chat about Year 9 with Aiden.

Well, I wasn't so enthused for running today either but i forced myself out of the "work house" to trott around the marina. It was flat dark and boring. But ther stars were nice. I found it to be a big tease to get to the end of the marina and be able to see the Coopers Ale House but not being able to get there without a boat or swimming. They really should put in a bridge or a punt or something.
