Walk (Shadow of the Matterhorn) 2:00:00 [3] 6.5 km (18:28 / km)
(injured)

I joined the group in the morning ofr a while before they started their gruelling climb up 900m to Grotenburg. I stayed on the contour and headed off to Rifelalp to catch the cog train back down. The views were amazing and it is hard to comprehend how steep and tall all these mountains are. The Matterhorn was in fine form this morning revealing a cloudless view of the mountain for a couple of hours. We stopped for some group photos at the lake below the hut which was reflecting the matterhorn nicely with only a minimal breeye across the water. If i had got up earlier it would have been a perfect mirror. The stiffness in my back made it very hard to get dressed even today, but i managed it and it seemed to loosen up after a bit of walking. I went back to the doctor for my second injection and pick up a script for some tablets and a certificate for the airline to help me get better seats. The back is feeling great now after the injection, and i hope it stays that way (not likely). Anyway i'm making the most of things and hope to be well enough for the 3 day walk starting tomorrow.
