Fern and I dropped the running shoes and picked up the bikes for Orienteering today. It was such a pleasant day to be in a nice bit of forest. So flat and mostly fast fun riding. The map certainly showed its age with a couple of tracks being missing on the ground, and perhaps missing off the map, but it was such a great day. We dropped only two of the controls, but i am certain we would've had time to get them. We were only out for fun, so it didn't really matter anyway.

Belair Biggy Loop

A "bigger than Thursday" run from home around Belair. I was pretty lethargic the whole way, but it was such a nice morning to be out in the park. Saw a Koala with her Joey and a million flowers and birds. These are the days that make running worthwhile.

Ran with the crew around the short loop, it was tiring since my legs were still feeling the pain from last nights run. Had to rush off to a meeting after, actually would've preferred to keep running.

Surprise Cleland Run

Troy had the idea last night to go for a run in Cleland. Fern and I decided not to tell Simon and Bridget and kidnap them and take them to the secret run location. Well, that failed. Simon parked his car in our driveway and Bridget wasn't with him. So I coerced him to take us where we told him to. Turns out that also included going home to pick up Bridget. Simon cottoned on to where we were going pretty quickly and i didn't have to tell him anymore directions. Anyway the run had a nice downhill start and fun downhill finish. It was the 186m of up in the middle that really was tough. We did see some yellow tail black cockatoos which was nice, and they chatted to us for about a km. The views from the ridge just before sunset was amazing, this has to be in my top 10 runs in the Adelaide Hills.
