Finally got to do my "Long Ride Day" again. Rode from home into Lynton Quarries for some single track fun, then quickly into town. The mountain bike felt so much more twitchier than my road bike, and it was a heck of a lot noisier on the road too. Had to have a shower at work after getting drenched and muddy. Such a great way to start the day.

Took the route up Brown Hill Creek and Pony Ridge to get home. Geez what a slog that was! Walked very slowly up Pony Ridge pushing my bike, i wonder if i'll ever be able to ride this? Had to wait for a train at the "Forbidden crossing". Once I was able to cross I found the Wednesday Oldies Cycling group of John and Carol S, Sue M and someone I don't know considering their routechoice home. Stopped for a chat, then ZOOOMED down Lodge Track towards the Pines, Old Government House, and Upper Sturt Road. Got home just after dark without light as my AyUp battery went flat.
Can't wait to do this again next week.

Second installment of the lunchtime run. Felt much better than the last even though i wasn't much faster. The Torrens was flowing quite rigourously after the rain last night. And saw two surveyors - no one I knew, but i always feel like turning there targets around just to piss them off.
