The first of the Long O series, great weather for it too. I was wearing a gthermal then o top and then a cag, but was roasting by the time I got to 1 although to be honest it wasn't too bad towards the end. Was running the middle with 10.1 km in a straight line and 200m climb.
- Hit this fine but not sure if I took the best route or not.
- Spot on, hit it a bit earlier than I expected.
- Was a bit too low here lost about 30s.
- Spike
- Spike
- Think I slowed a bit here, don't really know why...
- Was a bit confused heading over to the control, but only lost about 20s or so.
- Spike
- Stopped a bit early.
- Hit fine
- Back to number 8 again :) Bit harder from this direction me thinks.
- Spike, was a bit worried about the other 10 or so pits surrounding it, but got it fine.
- Messy lost about 4mins. Went too far right, not concentrating on the o ing.Just headed back to the path to relocate. Stupid.
- Spike although I had meant to take the path too it but couldn't find it branching off.
- Long leg, stopped a bit early here and was a bit too far right. but I think it might have been better to take the ulster way path or whatever path it was. Wouldn't have had to wade through the high heather. Bit of bunching going on here, could see a lot of people leaving up the hill when I arrived in the area.
- Hit the control fine although, I did get a bit confused on the way didn't understand the cliff for a while, but then realised it was the hole in the ground :) Caught lawrence here.
- Real long leg, easy enough navigation but just testing the bog hopping I suppose. Really enjoyed that leg :)
Fin- Wen along the spur and then headed towards the road. Mark won this leg beating me by 3s. Didn't actually ask what route he took...
Awesome course, really enjoyed it and I felt good when I was running it too.
