Irish Champs Long Distance W21E
Got the first two controls well enough before loosing concentration at no.3 and completely mucking up. I was really near the control but just couldn't find it for ages. (Lost 3mins) The next big mistake was at no.10 where again as I neared the circle I decided not to look at my map and ended up really close by but searching in the wrong area. (Lost 4 mins) After that disaster I tried to concentrate again but seemilgly that didn't work for 11 as I lost confidence and went completely wrong. (Lost 4 mins)

Anyway basically I made some quite big mistakes along with some smaller ones at the majority of controls too! Not pleased with how I ran/orienteered at all but obviously delighted with 2nd place!

Started alright and got one fine but by complete accident ended up at number 3 before number 2. Luckily for me though I had seen no.3 otherwise I could have been a lot longer! So still don't really know how that happened but lost about 3 mintes here. Went steadily then until the very end (11) where I completely lost concentration and lost another 2 minutes.
I don't feel I ran very consistantly today but considering losing quite a bit of time 3rd doesn't seem too bad so I'm happy with that!
