Started in Haydenville, went over to Westhampton to check out
Phil's wall and perhaps even summon up the courage to try to get up it. Good breeze out of the south, so into it on the way over, took it easy. Worked harder on the way back.
As for the wall, well, it's a steep little pitch, but very short and only about 20 yards verges on being real steep. Had one gear to spare, though I was losing momentum just at the end. Under normal conditions (ie. no ego on the line) I would have just put it in first gear and cruised up.
Certainly no reason to turn around and search an alternate route... :-)
Nice to get out, but my legs are still tired.
