Heading north, but still balmy, upper 50s. Shorts and a LS shirt, normal bike gloves. Pulled off the interstate to visit a short bike trail along the Neuse River, just 2.9 miles one-way. But it was excellent, not a single road crossing and a good bit of character -- not a rail trail so not dead straight.

By myself, Gail figured a day off was wise, so I put in a good effort. And then packed up and hit the road, made it through NC without spending a dime. Or does that not matter anymore? Can't say I keep up with the shenanigans in NC politics.

Legs felt good, but then were well rested.
