Nice enough loop (though not a candidate for a repeat) mostly in NH with little bits in MA and VT. One longer hill, Rt. 63 heading north from Hinsdale, seemed more of a struggle than I expected, as did every up thereafter. A few miles of dirt, the only up part having just been graded and was more of a challenge than expected. Plus two wrong turns, both corrected within 50 yards.

Legs pretty tired afterwards.

On the other hand, didn't seem to aggravate my hamstrings. That normally wouldn't be any concern, but when I came downstairs for breakfast this morning I noticed they were already aggravated. Hmmm.

And then I remembered that I'd gone running yesterday. Roughly 2 x 25 yards at a decent effort. The reason being I got to the check-out line at Whole Foods and realized my wallet was still in the car. Zip, zip, back to get it, got back just as the register guy was finishing.

But that's all it seems to take. Reinforced my decision to consign running to an earlier part of my life. Though that may be challenged come corn maze time. Will have to pace myself better....
