Thursday Feb 28

trail running 30:57 [3]3.5 mi (8:51 / mi)
Up to power line and back. Sluggish. But seem to have survived Sunday's run.

Wednesday Feb 27

trail running 30:19 [3]3.5 mi (8:39 / mi)
Up to power line and back. Almost no ice, a little muddy. Good effort.

Tuesday Feb 26

track 24:43 [2]3.0 mi (8:14 / mi)
Warm-up/down.
track 5:44 [4]1.0 mi (5:44 / mi)
A few faster laps (with rest between) to stretch the legs out. Felt sluggish, but not too sore.

Sunday Feb 24

road running 1:12:49 [4]10.0 mi (7:16 / mi)
Amherst 10 Mile race. Beautiful day (45, sunny), very hilly course. Ran OK all things considered, put out a good effort anyway and didn't croak coming up the last long hill. The question is how I will feel a day or two from now!

Splits: 707, 645, 743, 746, 717, 710, 657, 705, 729, 732
road running 9:00 [1]
Warm-up/down for race

Friday Feb 22

road running 46:09 [3]5.2 mi (8:52 / mi)
Up S. sugarloaf and back.

Wednesday Feb 20

road running 33:08 [3]4.3 mi (7:41 / mi)

Tuesday Feb 19

track 30:32 [2]3.75 mi (8:09 / mi)
Warm-up/down
track 7:10 [4]1.25 mi (5:44 / mi)
Mix of 400s and 200s, not too bad.

Sunday Feb 17

road running 1:05:59 [3]8.1 mi (8:09 / mi)
Back roads in Montague with Phil and Bob Austin. Snowing, a couple of inches already on the ground, but not bad footing.

Saturday Feb 16

road running 32:44 [4]4.5 mi (7:16 / mi)
To town line and back, good effort.

Thursday Feb 14

road running 38:10 [3]4.6 mi (8:17 / mi)

Tuesday Feb 12

track 29:02 [2]3.5 mi (8:17 / mi)
Warm up/down.
track 8:54 [4]1.5 mi (5:55 / mi)
3x400@89 with 45 seconds rest between, then a break, then done again. Was keeping Phil and Sidney company, which made it much easier. Felt easy.

Actually, this was the best I've felt running for some time. Not that I'm fit, just one of those increasingly rare days when the legs are lively. Got to enjoy them when you can....

Sunday Feb 10

part trail, part road 32:43 [3]3.6 mi (9:05 / mi)
Started up the mountain, much too icy without spikes.....

Saturday Feb 9

road running 33:47 [3]4.3 mi (7:51 / mi)
Hard work these days....

Thursday Feb 7

road running 28:18 [3]3.4 mi (8:18 / mi)

Tuesday Feb 5

road running 28:41 [3]3.4 mi (8:26 / mi)

Sunday Feb 3

road running 35:11 [3]4.5 mi (7:48 / mi)
The Patriots..... :-) :-) :-)
