Wednesday Apr 30

Warm-up/down.
orienteering 21:10 [4] 3.34 km (6:20 / km) +90m 5:35 / km
Park-O at Menotomy Rocks. A couple of bad legs, but ran ok and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Tuesday Apr 29

trail running 1:01:53 [3]
With Phil, up to the top of Mt. Toby the direct way, back via Paddy's Farm (or at least there was a farm there 150 years ago, before most of the local farmers picked up and headed west for less rocky soil) and the power line. Walked most of the steep climb, but working as hard as I could; relaxed pace coming down to be kind to the hamstrings.

Monday Apr 28

biking 1:17:50 [3]
To Greenfield and back, good effort. Feet still sore from yesterday but legs ok.

Sunday Apr 27

orienteering 1:24:30 [4] 10 km (8:27 / km) +390m 7:04 / km
Day 2. Felt better, put in a good effort right up to the end even though I was fading. My routes.

Saturday Apr 26

orienteering 42:10 [3] 4.5 km (9:22 / km) +150m 8:02 / km
SVO A meet at Hammond Rocks. Had no energy. My routes.

biking 36:00 [3]

Thursday Apr 24

orienteering 59:17 [3] 5.8 km (10:13 / km) +250m 8:25 / km

Wednesday Apr 23

trail running 31:43 [3] 3.5 mi (9:03 / mi)
Up to the power line and back.
biking 40:00 [2]
Trying out bikes in Greenfield. Anything is better than what I have now....

Monday Apr 21

biking 1:11:09 [3]
From the Subaru place in N'ton to Westhampton and back, while the car was getting routine service...

Sunday Apr 20

biking 55:34 [3]
Leverett loop, reasonably vigorously.

Saturday Apr 19

orienteering 57:47 [3] 4.56 km (12:40 / km) +250m 9:57 / km
Training at Stoddard Hill, about 4 miles NE of where I live. I'd been on the Robert Frost Trail that goes through there, but never explored further. Very nice. Did some solid orienteering and legs felt not so bad.

Friday Apr 18

biking 2:19:06 [3]
Turners Falls, Gill, Northfield, Millers Falls. Feeling sluggish.

Thursday Apr 17

run/hike 58:30 [2]
Went looking for the Rose Bush but it was no longer there....

Wednesday Apr 16

biking 55:40 [3]
Over to Leverett. Last of the nice weather for a few days if the forecast is to believed.

Tuesday Apr 15

biking 1:11:30 [3]
From Greenfield up to Leyden and back. Temps in the low 80s! Felt sluggish, but put in a good effort anyway.

Nice to reach April 15. Will have more time now....

Monday Apr 14

biking 49:55 [3]
Nice ride up to Bernardston and back.

Sunday Apr 13

orienteering 39:36 [3] 4.3 km (9:13 / km) +220m 7:20 / km
Better effort and no mistakes. My routes.
biking 56:38 [3]
Too nice an afternoon not to get out. Started out as a leisurely ride but picked up the pace in the last half despite my best intentions.

Saturday Apr 12

orienteering 1:01:27 [2] 5.6 km (10:58 / km) +275m 8:49 / km
Careful and cautious. Survived. My routes.

Thursday Apr 10

biking 1:23:32 [2]
Up the west side of the river, back the east side. First decent day in a week...

Thursday Apr 3

biking 37:33 [3]
Along the river. Cold, damp, but the best weather for several days (looking both in the past and at the forecast for the next few days. What happened to spring?
