Friday Mar 28

biking 1:18:23 [3]
Early morning ride up to Lake Wyola and back.
trail running 27:41 [3]
Beautiful late afternoon in the hills above Deerfield. With bad weather forecast for the next few days, I thought I'd get an easy run in. Bad idea. Left hamstring flared back up all of a sudden (went from feeling fine to feeling terrible in about 2 steps). Stopped me dead, walked the mile or so back to the car very slowly. Getting tired of this....

Thursday Mar 27

biking 57:27 [3]
Back roads in Leverett, legs feeling a little better.

Wednesday Mar 26

bushwhacking 42:27 [1]
In West Deerfield from Stillwater bridge up to hill 211. Hiked up a bit to the SW of the beeline, ran back a bit to the NE. South slope, almost no snow.
run/hike 10:51 [3]0.8 mi (13:34 / mi)
Up and down the south side of Sugarloaf, better effort.

Tuesday Mar 25

biking 1:50:40 [2]
A nice late afternoon ride. From Greenfield to North Bernardston and Leyden and back. A couple of miles of dirt roads that were just firm enough to keep the bike from sinking in (it's "mud season").

Sunday Mar 23

biking 2:08:00 [3]
To Northampton via Conway and the Ashfield/Williamsburg Road. Long uphill followed by a long downhill. Cool and windy.

Legs still moving in slow motion, but at least I'm doing something. Now have to get rid of the winter fat....
run/hike 12:05 [3]0.8 mi (15:06 / mi)
Up and down Sugarloaf, more vigorously.

Saturday Mar 22

biking 15:00 [2]
Over to S. Sugarloaf and back.
run/hike 14:15 [2]0.8 mi (17:48 / mi)
Hike up the steep side of Sugarloaf (450' climb), jog back down.

Friday Mar 21

biking 1:42:00 [3]
From Greenfield to Bernardston and up Huckle Hill to the Vermont line, and back. Beautiful afternoon, but there sure are a lot of potholes.

Going to have to try some easy running or hiking soon to see how the hamstrings are....

Thursday Mar 20

biking 1:01:30 [3]
Back roads in Leverett. Cold, needed more clothes on....

Wednesday Mar 19

biking 56:24 [3]
Greenfield to Bernardston and back just before dark.

Tuesday Mar 18

biking 1:22:16 [3]
From Greenfield up the long hill to Leyden and back. Got out in the middle of the day, another nice warm one.

Sunday Mar 16

biking 1:25:00 [2]
Up to Shelburne Falls to partake in the post-fun run food and drink at Graham's. Potholes and some wet places, but really nice to be out.

Sunday Mar 2

road running 5:00 [1]
Tried to run. Hamstring acted up right away. Walked back...
