A surprising reversal! Me: After waking up feeling quite battered and not sure if I would run, I ended up running better and orienteering better (perhaps a few Advil helped?). The course: just fine -- interesting and intelligent use of the terrain (maybe due to the fact that Eric Weyman was course consultant for day 2 - thanks, Eric).
Back home it is still winter with 3-4 inches of new snow...

Miserable performance matched in its level of absurdity by the course. Me: old, out of shape, sore, sloppy orienteering to boot. The course: alternating open fields and paved roads with controls buried in the thorns. The sad fact is that there is a lot of good terrain in the park...
