Sunday May 23

orienteering 55:10 [4] 6.1 km (9:03 / km) +250m 7:30 / km
WCOC local meet at Pond Mt. in Kent (site of A meet last year and Billygoat several years ago). So-so run, pretty good effort except for a couple moments of (mental) weakness. Ribs still bad, but 4 Advils and the usual endorphins do the trick. Still having trouble sleeping. Routes/comments.

Red - Splits

Saturday May 22

biking 1:09:19 [3] 20.35 mi (3:24 / mi)
Old Deerfield loop, pretty flat, good steady effort.

Friday May 21

biking 55:12 [2] 15.3 mi (3:37 / mi)
Leverett loop, easy pace at first, a little more energetic at end. Feeling tired.
Ribs really hurting, seems I got another place with my face plant yesterday.

Thursday May 20

trail running 2:39:40 [3]
With Ken Walker, from BM 461.4 NNE over Putney and Windmill Mts and a bit more. No big hills but lots of ups and downs. Nice day, nice trail (not too rocky), though I did a face plant in the first ten minutes that my ribs did not appreciate.

Wednesday May 19

orienteering 45:00 [2]
Training with George at Mt. Tom, lots of stops to talk about technique. Good fun but not too strenuous, just what I needed.

Tuesday May 18

trail running 48:12 [3]
ahr:142 max:168
Jeep trail up Wantastiquet Mt. just east of Brattleboro, about 1,000' climb, plus a little bit on a meandering trail around the top. Ran the whole way, barely. Sore quads from yesterday, also feeling tired, took some will power to do (was on my way home after 18 holes with Mike Fritz, first round of the season, 89, could have been a lot worse....).
Note
I've added my routes and comments from last weekend's A meet at Sebago.

Monday May 17

trail running 1:18:52 [4]
ahr:150 max:168
Seven Sisters course from the Notch west to sister "C" (hill 855) and back. About 2,500' climb. Good effort. Got to do some good training in the next five weeks after missing a couple of weeks because of the rogaine.
