Saturday Aug 6

orienteering 37:13 [3] 4.2 km (8:52 / km) +150m 7:31 / km
shoes: Integrators
Relay Champs, running 4th on 12 point team. Gail, Viktoria, and Suzanne performed so well that all I had to do was not mis-punch or skip a control. Feeling tired from the last few days, didn't run (or walk) agressively at all, but no mistakes. Team won by about 15 minutes. Would have been interesting if we had been in the 8 point class....

Friday Aug 5

orienteering 48:11 [4] 6.3 km (7:39 / km) +300m 6:11 / km
shoes: Integrators
Day 2 at Blue Mt. Very good run, worked hard.
orienteering 49:47 [3] 5 km (9:57 / km) +150m 8:39 / km
shoes: Integrators
US Night O' Champs at Manitou Lake. Another very good run af a careful start (very low confidence!). Second to Walter Siegenthaler on the green course by a few seconds, first in M60. Very satisfied, probably best night O' ever (though I haven't run very many).

Red - Splits

Thursday Aug 4

orienteering 1:05:09 [4] 6.3 km (10:20 / km) +300m 8:21 / km
shoes: Integrators
Day 1 of the Colorado 3 Day. Borrowed a compass from the Balls, and promptly smashed it about 8 minutes into the course. Pretty good run except for one control late, where a compass would have been very handy. Very interesting area, some controls were very tucked away. I liked it, some hated it, definitely would have been better if controls had been more open.

Cold rain -- I thought this wasn't allowed.

Wednesday Aug 3

Event: Colorado Five-Day

orienteering 17:39 [5] 2.7 km (6:32 / km)
shoes: Integrators
Prologue (sprint) in Colorado, good run, working hard despite no oxygen.
orienteering 50:03 [4] 7.5 km (6:40 / km) +200m 5:53 / km
shoes: Integrators
The Chase -- started just after Vald and Vadim and almost managed to keep up to them. Good effort, good run until the last control, could have used a compass there (compass seemed to stop working about halfway, suddenly had a huge bubble....).
